As a side note... You missed the most important part of that book. I suggest giving it a read again.

Hmph, so you won't show us after all...
Could it be that the reason you wear that hood is to hide all the work you've done with blood that has given you the appearance of a monster? Or could it be that you're actually a different person from previous Aeturnus', and you're trying to hide that?

A monster is something that is much different then the norm yes? Yes then I guess you could label me as one such as my appearance does not quite follow the rules...
I am afraid that when I said my face was forgotten by time I was being serious. The world remembers my name, but not my face. Should I show you my face you would have nothing to compare it to that would prove I am or am not the true Aeturnus.

Ignored again? Oh I guess idiots like you guys would feel intimidated talking to me. Anyway I'm not sure why people keep claiming that the big asshole is looking for a successor. There are other words that could have easily fit in the blank if that really is the only clue we're going on. I'd like to take a second and mention the blood hand and the projects of chapter 2. The projects indicated that it was impossible for them to make them immortal. The IMs in the Revelation rooms also indicated that technology was not advanced enough for a normal human to live that long. Combined with the fact that he admits to not being human suggests to me that he is himself a artificially created being whom had the memories implanted into himself. The fact that he refuses to show his face could also support this since according to the Replica project, it was impossible to make an exact replica of the object. If he was unable to make an exact replica of his face it's possible that the face was too distorted to even pass off as something else.

Well then, if you're not trying to save the world, perhaps you were the one who ended it in the first place? Unable to find a way to save humanity, you instead turned on them. The people imprisoned in the tower aren't the ones you wanted to make blood weapons from. But rather, you used them as an energy source to power the tower's time control mechanism. By utilizing this power on yourself and conducting more experiments on the humans you had captured, you managed to create a blood weapon that allowed you to transcend humanity. However, you were unable to recreate this weapon, and thus the rest of the human race would have been annihilated given time. So, you decided to travel back in time to give yourself another try at making this weapon. Why make this weapon? I have a few hypotheses. In order to save the rest of the human race by converting them into the state you have reached with your own blood weapon. Or, you simply need it to maintain your current state and thus are sacrificing the human race for your own benefit.

Then the question becomes... Am I the Savior? The Good Guy? Or Am I the Villain? A Demon? The Apocalypse itself? Or Am I a Machine? A Construct? A Replica? I wonder which one you all want me to be, after all, many of these sound like I am going to kill you all at some point. Hahaha! I can say for sure though. Everyone on top of this building here and now has blood pumping through them. Although one of us has no flesh and bone. Hahaha!

Getting nervous asshole? Trying to distract people of what they are talking about is a sure sign that they are coming to close for comfort. Though I guess I'll admit it now, I could have discovered the traitor in chapter 2 had I thought about it more. Your idiot monkey left a note in his pocket about returning the 'key to the loop room to it's owner.' I had originally thought the owner was you but that idiot would have wrote big boss instead of owner. So really I would have just had to fine the person with the key after the blood shift. But oh well, no use in crying over spilled milk.

Perhaps you're the savior and villain all at once.
Could it be that you wish to reset everything and have humanity start from scratch. But you do not possess the amount of energy to do this all on your own, as you can only turn back time a limited amount.
And that is your reason for this project, you need someone else to be able to match or surpass your power in order to have the required energy to achieve your goal.

Continuing along the train of thought that this is one big experiment and the goal is to make someone as strong as me. If that is the case could you please explain how in the world locking you all in a small area and telling you to kill each other is supposed to increase your powers over Time and Space?

Hey asshole, quiet your monkey. His annoying screeching is bugging me. Honestly the only reason I can think of that you may want to train us is to increase the quality of the blood weapons. Though I have no supporting info on that. Frankly I can't think of another reason for you not to immediately turn us into blood weapons or whatever. Guess I'll have to think more.

You have brought us here as candidates.
You may ask "For what purpose?". But the answer to that is rather simple, as you wrote down the reason yourself.
You brought us to this tower as people who have the potential to synchronize the energy between our blood and yours, and having the mutation manifest in our blood weapons.

And what is this "Mutation" you speak of?

The mutation would be the awakening as a "Blood-Heart", as it seems this is exactly what you need, and are trying to cultivate.
This also answers the reason for why had us kill each other. Because successfully murdering someone kick-started the awakening as a Blood-Heart, and doing it twice would potentially complete it.

So, like, we're not the monsters, right?
Man, missing so many pieces. All I can do is just. Uh. Ramble nonsense?
Mystio stands up and points at the hooded freak in front of her. Her smirk is sinister, as if to hide her own fear by imposing fear itself. Mystio continues the grin for a pause before continuing. Mystio then closes her eyes and begins dancing around her words.
Well anyway, it's quite obvious that he needs a second blood weapon. And I guess he knows that one of us can produce it. Hmm, but like, if that was the case like you guys keep saying, wouldn't it be simpler to just invite us here and strike the eternity 12 times instead of waiting? And if he failed the first time and reversed, why would he use the same people? None of that makes any sense..
Nah, it's quite clear this must be the first time doing the tower incident. Which makes the book strange that it describes that the test fails.
Mystio pouts.
I just find none of this makes sense.
My own theory is that humanity devised the Eternity Project to save themselves, it was a plan to trap time in a eternity and repeat history forever. Eternity lives within Aethesis or whatever that guy's face is, this is how he can live for so long and control time itself. He needs to be destroyed however to stop the flow of time from repeating endlessly so that time can continue.
If you ask me, this guy was a mistake. A creation from humans to "fix" their problems, but only caused a greater issue: eternal time. And in order to put an end to it, he has decided to try to forge a weapon stronger then him, and not to become him, but to destroy him.
Yeah, except my theory to be farrr off since I haven't been playing...
