There's just something wrong that doesn't really fit if Katsuragi is the culprit though. Mystio mentioned earlier that they found absolutely no signs of damp or wet knobs within apartment 3-2. This means that if we were to fit the evidence around him being the culprit, he would have had to not return home, or consciously leave the water behind in front of the apartment and dry off within it prior to returning home. My question is why he would lead us to his apartment in that state, then. Not to mention, would there not be police ready and waiting at his apartment?
I'm starting to feel some doubt when it comes to Katsuragi as well after all, but perhaps you all can answer me on this.

The simple answer would be he was being foolish or caught up in the moment. That doesn't really count as an answer though.

Ayame lets out a breath, and looks down, glancing over to Keima and weighing her words carefully.
"Agreed. There are plenty of holes in the logic behind this case, but with the witness testimony from the clerk in 3-2, I can only think that Mr. Katsuragi is the most likely culprit. Shall we put this theory to the test?"

*Clears throat and rises*
Good day to you all. I've been remaining silent for all of this, but seeing as you're out of things to talk about, I'll voice my opinion. My name is Navarre, or Narbal, as some people seem to enjoy calling me. I have no connections to the police or government, nor any area involved in this case.
I have three things I'd like to point out.
First, and most direct. This black liquid you said was found on the door. The door was made of wood, correct? Is it not possible that the liquid would be finish for wooden surfaces? As someone around wood frequently, I know that it requires a re-finishing every so often, perhaps the liquid on the door was just that.
Secondly. This question is directed to the little lady with the blue hair. We have no proof of your inability to tell a lie aside from your own testimony. You've said your personal title is "Honesty," but what does that mean to us? We have no proof of that bestowing 100% honesty. In fact, it would make logical sense that you'd be able to hide anything which would lead to your conviction. Mind telling us a little more about yourself? Don't get me wrong. I'm not accusing you or even calling you a suspect. But if you want your words to hold the weight they're intended to have, we can have no doubts about your infallibility.
I have more to say, though I'd appreciate it if you gave me some time to collect my thoughts first. I'm able to answer any questions you may have.

Ayame stands and offers a now slightly-flat soda to Navarre. "Please, if you wish to be involved, have a drink to sip on." She gives a slight smile as well though, with no hint of any deception behind it. She just actually seems glad to have Navarre speak up.

*Accepts the drink, taking a deep sip of it.*

Ayame nods. "Hands are a bit too big. Not outside the realm of possibility, but unlikely."

Also, a question, if I may. So far, who's hands have fit the cup perfectly?

Watching this prosecution go back and forth....
What kind of monsters am I going to school with again? I thought my tardiness and tendency to pick fights was bad, but you guys are showing me how much of an outstanding citizen I am apparently.
