I believe that the virus is carried through the Air.
Once it enters your body the virus latches on to your blood cells, allowing it to flow throughout your body.
It would be taken multiple vital organs, in the main case, the brain.
There it would act similar to virus such as Mad Cow, where it attacks the brains.
It will destroy multiple areas of the brain in which deals with common sense and such, leaving way for "Insanity"
After they completely destroy the brain and finish absorbing the cells they mutate into the mushrooms we see.
At least this is what I think. |
