This diary proves otherwise. The last entry states "I've managed to ___________ of the survivors and lead them to the tower. I have left the rest______________ for fear the infection will spread." This means that some people were indeed left behind who were not in the Despair group, but were Avrak's loyal citizens. These people would have to be tested for the infection if they were to be readmitted to society, otherwise why hide the survivors in a safe location if you were just going to let anyone and everyone in without testing for the infection.

Would you like to claim that Diary as yours, Aklita? Either way, you're clearly testing us for the infection, the nature of which we have yet to successfully discern, but I stick to my theory on the mushrooms.

The reason I'm saying this deals with the fact we are most likely test subjects, as was mentioned multiple times before.
Testing what? Here is my theory.

 "Show me the evidence!" Where is your proof of this "infection"? An infection can mean a number of things, and one that could cause such a dilemma that would force me to leave citizens of Avrak behind must be extremely serious. |

 Now allow me to ask, Aklita.. If you care so dearly about the people of Avrak and wish to prove that you are upset and confused of why the citizens were forced to leave.. Why were you prepared to shoot down whoever came near the suspension bridge from the tower? Were you that determined to not let us pass..? You seem to know a lot more about this dilemma than you claim you do. |

 All we have to do is use this as a stepping stone to a greater hope! If we can overcome the deaths of all of the citizens and of our comrades, we will realize that they are just a pathway to success! You will all be able to demonstrate your natural brilliance further if you look towards the future and move past all of this despair while moving forward! You are all born with natural talent, and so you should use it to help one another prevail in this despair.
I'm just a piece of trash not even comparable to the average NPC-- if you wish to kill me or beat me, let me know right now, because all I want is for all of you to succeed and get out of here alive if that gives you the hope that you need! Aklita, it seems that you and I are similar, considering both of our goals to give hope to our comrades and obliterate their despair, do you not agree?

As a loyal citizen of Avrak, please make haste over the suspension bridge and cross to the tower at once. - Emna" "The majority of the survivors have been relatively successful in the tests. A few have had difficulties, and were subsequently annihilated." "Don't you think these procedures are a bit harsh? The survivors have committed no crime." "We cannot risk the infection spreading any further. We must comb through those still alive for traces, for all of our sakes." "And what of those who are innocent being subjected to these harsh conditions?" "They will be sacrificed. For the greater good." You claim that you will not accept writing as anyone could have written it. Then let us call out one of those people that was involved in the writing and ask them personally. There was a note left and signed by one "Emna" that matches the writing of the journal that was discovered in the freezing room. The conversation involves one person be told how the harsh testing was for the greater good in order to remove the risk of an "infection" spreading. If this conversation is true, then it proves the infection is true. The simplest way to do that would be to ask one of the people who wrote it, but I believe one of the two here would not be willing to tell us. The SHSL Immortal worked with one SHSL Mastermind, in this duo it is rather obvious who is the leader. You even admitted to only being a stepping stone Aklita, I imagine that is for us to climb up to meet Emna. Emna wrote part of this and convinced YOU that the testing was necessary. If you deny that this is truth then call out your partner and have them answer for themselves. If you simply deny that you wrote it I will not accept it, THAT IS NOT JUSTICE! Call out the Mastermind behind this ploy and force him to reveal himself. The truth of the infection is in this conversation! Very well, here is my theory.
The infection is carried by blood. The mushrooms are a bi-product of the infection and grow from the bodies of the deceased taking in nourishment from their blood. This is shown in how the mushrooms are related to red blood cells based of the Blood Mushroom Experiment. The symptoms of the infection are the exact same as the symptoms of eating the mushrooms except for one thing. The last symptom of the infection is different. The symptoms of the mushroom are dizziness, followed by nausea and lightheadedness. The one additional symptom that occurs with the true infection is the first bullet, Insanity. The insanity is due to the virus taking over or eating your red blood cells which would prevent less and less oxygen from reaching your brain through your blood. The functions of the brain would grow weaker and result in it not functioning properly, aka becoming insane. This is the infection and how it works.
