The entire house unfolds and rises into a trial stand above into the Torture Room. The Mastermind sits at the chair at the head of the trial stand. "You've come for me then... so be it." "There is no happy ending to this story. Confronting me will accomplish nothing." "You have paved the path to your own Despair."

So you are the mastermind! Well then I hope you are fully prepared for the question I am about to throw at you....it is quite the doozy.
What exactly do you expect us to do in this final trial? Are we unmasking the secrets to our being here or the most recent murder? If you refuse to explain I feel it would be easier to vote you right now as a murderer and force you to be executed. There is no point to a trial or debate with no direction. Explain what you want from us or we will seek that which is simplest, vengeance for being placed in this situation.

Figure out everything going on around here if you will. Who you are, who I am, how you all ended up here... figure out everything.
It doesn't matter too much to me though, this is simply for your own benefit.

**** you! Why can't I talk to them anymore? What kind of trickery is this? What exactly is this place? I'll admit, I've managed to sleep through the body announcement and everything. I didn't know any of this was going on. But, all I can say... Is that there is some sort of magic going on here. Or, tell me... Is it truly "magic?" Let me ask this first. What does everybody think WE are? And, more likely... Are we truly alive? Look across the stand, and you'll see... Chairy Potter, the one who's supposed to be dead! The only way someone could be brought back to life is if we weren't truly alive ourselves! ...Or, you know. If this was all one giant computer game... Heheheh. Something like that.

Well, I imagine we should start at the beginning if we want to discern what is going on. The story of my arrival is strange so I think it might be best for us to go through our last memories before ending up here and then proceeding forward.
If my memory serves me...(I can't find the original message so just rolling off my memory) I received a note to go to a specific location and did so. I arrived at what appeared to be the completely destroyed ruins of some building. I looked around, but couldn't find anything of note. I heard a noise so I jumped into a hiding spot and looked out. I saw Kaito Kid arriving at the building, but just after I saw him something touched my back and I blacked out. I awoke in the assembly room with you all.
I fear that whatever is going on is repeating in some manner based on my cell phone. My phone had a record of 400 calls to 911 on the first day, but I only called 911 once during an initial check for signal. This means that unless someone messed with my phone those calls were made by me under the same pretense as the one I made before. If events were repeating somehow that would account for the 400 calls, although that means whatever is repeating this isn't necessarily changing my phone, since it remembers the previous calls, even if I don't.

I had a similar memory. I received a letter then went to said location where I found a pile of burnt rubble. I met Siren there and looked around together but found no one. Then all of a suddenly we see someone approach us but before we saw their face, we blacked out and ended up here. I actually have an explanation for that but ill leave that for later. *hinthint* For now. Lets talk about the tape recordings we've heard since the game started. Here are the tapes we have heard so far. Tape 1
"Testing, testing, 1 2 3" (you don't recognize this voice)
"Ahem, we will now begin our discussion." (same voice)
"It has to be Tiano! They're the only one who suspected the Mastermind was among us!" (unrecognizable voice)
"No, that's impossible. She was the one who informed us. Why would she do that in the first place if she was the Mastermind?" (Kirigiri's voice)
"Then it must be someone who had visited the room Tiano found the evidence." (unrecognizable voice)
"But how are we going to track that?" (unrecognizable voice)
"I say we kill everyone except me, since I'm obviously not the Mastermind." (Saku's voice)
"What kind of braindead suggestion is that?" (unrecognizable voice)
"Guys, I noticed yesterday that-" (Kleara's voice)
"I know who it is." (unrecognizable voice, sounds ominous)
"How are you so sure?" (Kirigiri's voice)
"Because I know who murdered RawForce." (same ominous voice)
"Do tell, we were completely off on that trial." (unrecognizable voice)
"Why should I tell any of you when one of you is obviously the Mastermind?" (ominous voice)
"Because you love us?" (really annoying voice)
"Guys, this is really, really important!" (Kleara's voice)
"Alright, settle down everyone." (voice at the beginning)
"Yokai, tell us how you know who the first murderer is." (voice in the beginning)
"That's easy, but first I have to make sure of something." (ominous voice)
"I'll tell all of you after the next trial. That should give me enough time to be sure." (ominous voice)
"Guys, it's really, really important!" (Kleara's voice)
"All right, let's end the recording here, it's almost nighttime." (voice from the beginning)
"Reel 1, Day 2 discussion recorded"
"Seadrias signing off" Tape 2
"Yoooooooooo! This is your announcer for another hair-raising discussion!" (high-pitched and squeaky voice)
"Yeah, another THREE PEOEPLE are dead. You'd better have a good explanation for this, Yokai." (unrecognizable voice)
"Patience, I will explain everything in due time." (ominous voice)
"Ugh, even Seadrias hit the bucket. He was so close to finding the culprit in the first murder too..." (unrecognizable voice)
"Look guys, I just have to get this out first." (Kleara's voice)
"Alright, let's be honest here." (ominous voice)
"I killed those three." (ominous voice)
"YOU DID WHAT?!" (a lot of voices)
"I only planned their deaths, of course. I wasn't the one who did the deed." (ominous voice)
"You... you sick, vile, murderer..." (unrecognizable voice)
"Let's knock him out and tie him up!" (Saku's voice)
"Hah... as if you fools could touch me." (ominous voice)
-there is a collective gasp here-
"Understand? I make the rules in this game." (ominous voice) "Now, if you will excuse me, I have someone to meet. You can guess it will be one of you." (ominous voice)
"Urgh... this is just... horrible..." (unrecognizable voice)
"Hey, what about what you promised earlier!" (unrecognizable voice)
"You told us you know who the mastermind is!" (same voice)
"Oh, that's easy. The mastermind is dead. I had them killed in the last murder." (ominous voice)
"But if you really want to know, it was Seadrias. I never could trust a detective." (ominous voice)
"Well, anyways, I control this game now. You will all answer to me from now on." (ominous voice)
"Goodbye now." (ominous voice) -a bunch of shuffling happens here-
"Well, uh, due to technical difficulties the recording can't go on." (high pitched voice in the beginning)
"Be sure to stay tuned for the next exciting discussion!" (high pitched voice)
"Reel 2, Day 3"
"Chryso is signing off" Tape 3
"Ahem, welcome back to our amazing discussion session!" (Chryso's voice)
"Things sure got crazy yesterday..." (unrecognizable voice)
"Yeah, who would've known Yokai would hit the bucket." (Saku's voice)
"So... now that the mastermind is supposedly gone and the person behind all the murders is dead... what should we do?" (unrecognizable voice)
"Hey guys! Over here! I have something to say!" (Kleara's voice)
"Yeah guys, listen to Klea for once, god!" (Saku's voice)
"So, uh... I found this weird card in my room... and, uh... how should I put this... it's magical." (Kleara's voice)
"Magic? Are you serious?" (unrecognizable voice)
"I think that'd be pretty fun." (Chryso's voice)
"Wait a minute, could I see that card for a second?" (Kirigiri's voice)
-shuffling sounds-
"I see... it's just as I had suspected..." (Kirigiri's voice)
"What's wrong Kirigiri? Have you seen it somewhere before?" (unrecognizable voice)
"Yes... this is bad... someone broke into-" (Kirigiri's voice)
-a moment of silence-
"Someone broke into...?" (unrecognizable voice)
"No, it's nothing... I just... I need a moment to think things over..." (Kirigiri's voice)
-a door shuts somewhere in the background-
"Well... that was weird. So does anyone else have a card like this?" (Chryso's voice)
"I think I saw Lexi with one. But he's dead now so..." (unrecognizable voice)
"Yeah... Seadrias mentioned something about a card too... right before he died..." (unrecognizable voice)
-a door opens somewhere in the background-
-a collective gasp sounds-
"Wha...? Lexi?! You're alive?!" (unrecognizable voice)
"Shut up! There's no time for that now!" (presumably Lexi's voice)
"We've got bigger issues than people coming back to life! The house is on fire!" (presumably Lexi's voice)
"What? Why didn't the sprinklers go off?" (unrecognizable voice)
"No idea! But it's spreading! We have to get out of here!" (presumably Lexi's voice)
"But there's no way out! We already tried everything before!" (unrecognizable voice)
-random panicky chatter in the background-
"Right, there's no way out." (unrecognizable voice) -collective gasp-
"*bzzzzzt* it's you! You're still-"
-gunshot-
-several more gunshots-
"Forgive me... this is necessary... I will fix everything, I promise..." (unrecognizable voice)
-fire starts crackling in the background-
-several more minutes of silence and the tape ends- As you can tell. These tapes seem to imply that a similar game like the one we're having now had already taken place before. Whats weird about these tapes is that Kirigiri who had been with us in this game was also mentioned in the tapes. Another interesting thing if you look at Tape 3. A fire seemed to have broken out and someone started shooting everyone. If these tapes are indeed authentic. Would that mean that the burnt rubble we found before we were trapped here was actually the site of the previous game? And if that were the case then in order to find out where we are, why we are here and more importantly, who is the mastermind responsible for everything that has happened to us, We'll need to figure out what exactly happened during the previous game.

(OOC: My character does not remember any of the events of the prior games. So for the sake of us not failing horribly I will summarize basics of S1-S4 real quick here. S1 was a murder game hosted by Lumai. There were several murders. The game ended with a murder suicide by Mystio whose "Selfless Sacrifice" ended the game in his victory. The locale of the game was a Mansion that was burned down in the end. S2 was a murder game hosted by Lumai and Rei(as Juneko). Turns out Rei used the Wheel of Fortune to save everyone from S1 and they, along with new people, were forced to play a new game. This game ended with the Mastermind's victory after no surviving player could solve the Mystery of Rei saving them. The cathedral where the game took place was set ablaze by some players, who were killed by Saku who promptly fled. I believe Saku was the only survivor. S3 was very dangan ronpa esque with the plot involving a time limit to save Kirigiri's father. The game ended after Fatogami killed Sea and evaded detection in trial. All others were executed. Not sure how this one fully connected to Lumai or if it did. The locale was Hopes Peak Academy S4 was a reunion of students and that was mentioned in one of the documents in Season Fate. You know what happened here. A curse with lots of people dying, almost no survivors. Not sure what else ties in with Season Fate. The locale was also a mansion and it also burned down.
Lots of the previous locales burnt down. Yokai only participated in S1 and S2 so its probably one of those we are talking about.)

(OOC: I would agree that the previous games mentioned on the tapes would have either been S1 or S2 though its mostly likely S1 that's being implied in the tapes though I could be wrong and it could actually be both games.)
Anyway. To learn more about what happened in that game. Lets take a look at this book we found in the Library entitled: "The History of El Academy"
“El Academy is a prestigious school only for those who have the highest of qualifications. Founded by Lumai in 2005, it has since risen up to become one of the greatest schools of all time. Students gather from all over the world to participate in the school’s activities and the promote Hope to the world. Heavy emphasis was placed on the students’ special gifts, giving them almost superhuman-like abilities. These gifts would later become known as SHSL abilities.”
“However, during the year 2012, the founder of El Academy, Lumai, mysteriously vanished. A relatively successful organization, the Alteir Corporation, bought the academy and continued to run everything from behind the scenes. A new headmaster, ________ was put in place of Lumai. El Academy quickly adapted to the new headmaster and flourished like never before.”
“During the year 2012, the first class of El Academy finally graduated. It was a prestigious day for all, as Class 21 of El Academy walked down the velvet carpet into the world of ("hope" is crossed out here) DESPAIR.”
“DESPAIR IS ALL THAT WILL AWAIT YOU. DESPAIR WILL RULE YOUR LIFE. DESPAIR IS THE WORLD. DESPAIR IS EVERYTHING. DESPAIR WILL BE –something is crossed out here– DESTROYED.” I've also read the Yearbook in the Study and found pictures of us in it along with other people we don't recognize. There were also 2 faces bloated out in the pictures.
It also came with this newspaper clipping.
“Class 21 of El Academy, taught personally by the founder, Lumai, created a sensation across the world. The students were extremely bright, talented, and filled with hope. Every one of them graduated with flying colors in 2012 and continued to bring hope to the world.”
“However, in a freak accident at a reunion in 2014, the entire Class 21 of El Academy mysteriously vanished! The house the reunion took place was thoroughly searched by the authorities, but no trace of the former students was found! Some believe this to be a mass-murder case, but others feel differently. In particular, ________ CEO of the Alteir Corporation believes this to be a mass-kidnapping. For what nefarious purpose we do not know, but we can be certain that the search for the former students of Class 21 will continue…”
Based from the history book and the yearbook, There was a prestigious school called El Academy founded by Lumai who mysteriously disappeared in 2012. It also appears that we were all students of El Academy though we can't seem to remember for some reason. The incident mentioned on the news clipping involving the reunion of Class 21 and their disappearance could be the previous game implied on the tapes. If that were case and if Class 21 were indeed the people on the tapes then we must probably be Class 22.
Now. Would anyone like to give their insights regarding this info?

Class 22? No, no, you are all a part of Class 21 of course. You must realize that given the sheer size of El Academy, Class 21 was enormous. Over 500 students made up the heart of Class 21... of which you are all a part of.
I did send you those invitational letters. Perhaps you want to have a look at the back of the letter?

I found a book in player room 1 it appeared to be some sort of diary. It had written down
“We’re all stuck in some strange place, blah blah. What I really want to know is, why doesn't the day end? It’s strange. Every time the clock hits 11:59, it’ll just stay there and not move. It’s so eerie I can’t sleep at night.Well, someone died, at last I guess. And guess what? The clock chimed right after the body was found. Now that we know how the days work- (the bottom half of this page has been ripped off)
There’s nothing more disturbing than waking up and discovering three people are dead. That’s right, three. Who could have done it? I have no idea, but now I’m angry. I’ll have to get to the bottom of this, no matter what. My friend has discovered who the murderers are, I think. And since we couldn't find them in the last trial, he’s going to kill them. But that’s only natural, right? The murderers deserve to die… Well, something else has been disturbing me lately too. It’s about-"
I have no idea whose book this could be but I will continue to look over the clues presented so far also oh yes my last memories before awaking in this dreaded place...
I followed the instructions on the letter and arrived at a pile of burnt rubble I see Satori and Siren talking and I walk over to meet them but before I reach them, a hand clasped on my shoulder and I blacked out...
that's all I got...

To make a quick comment on that yearbook. The body laying in the room next to Mr. Apocalypse in the Music room. I vaguely remember that person's face being in the yearbook.
-checks his letter-
Ah yes, it does say something along those lines.
-Togami reads the back of the envelope he is holding-
"To: Byakuya Togami, prestigious member of Class 21."
"From: A concerned classmate."
That confirms it, I likely wouldn't have responded to a letter that mixed up what class I was in.

Wait! What? Over 500 students and they all disappeared?!?! How's that even possible?
Never bothered to read the back of my letter though I suppose it really says we are part of Class 21.
But if were really part of Class 21 then why couldn't we remember anything about the reunion? Probably the mastermind had brainwashed us or something.
Anyway. I have found various notes all over the mansion pertaining to that incident and I'm sure some of you here (Eclipse in particular) have found some of them. There's this one note though which I find particularly interesting.
“Lumai has been acting strange recently. Just before the reunion he was fine, but now… I’m not sure. He’s been researching these old set of cards, supposedly with magical abilities. He’s calling them ‘arcanas’, I’m not sure what that means, but it sounds pretty magical. Anyways, I hope he’s okay.”
“What is this? I found this book in Lumai’s room. ‘Theory of Human Despair’? Is this what he’s been up to this entire time? Just what could he be planning… no, I’m still worried about him. Just how far deep has he gotten himself into…”
“No… what has he done?! Did Lumai just… did just he knock out everyone at our reunion?! Is he planning on experimenting with them?! No… I can’t accept this… I have to find some way to stop him. Some way… wait, maybe the arcanas. He did mention several times before that they had magical abilities…”
“I found them, but Lumai isn’t far behind me. I have to make this quick… what can I do to stop him? There’s a book here, good. Let’s see… Wheel of Fortune… that should be the easiest one to use. Now all I have to do is reverse time and stop the reunion from happening. Then I can have a good, long chat with Lumai and see just what the heck made him turn so crazy.”
This note seems to imply that Lumai, the founder of El Academy who had mysteriously disappeared was present at the reunion with Class 21. Its also implied that he had been acting strangely and that he had this book called "The Theory of Despair", possessed knowledge of these so called "arcanas" and knocked out everyone out at the reunion. From what I can tell. It seems to me that Lumai was responsible for the disappearance of Class 21 and was the mastermind behind the previous murder game.
And that's not all but I also found another note which I believe was written by Lumai himself.
“What causes humans to despair? Is it our emotions? Perhaps some kind of traumatic event that elevates them. To find out the answer to this question, I have decided to conduct a test. Let us see just what makes humans feel Despair.”
“This is perfect. The reunion. I couldn’t have asked for a better trove of test subjects. They may be former students of mine… but no matter. I cannot be sentimental when I am proving something so great. This is my chance… I’ll use the cards I have from my earlier research to create this opportunity. Finally, I’ll get to see what Despair looks like.”
“No! NO! This can’t be happening! Where did it go?! WHERE?! The card was right here, I could’ve sworn it-… no, it was here. Someone stole it. Who? Who would dare interrupt my Despair project? Well, it doesn’t matter. I’ll just round everyone up and force all of them to participate. Heh… the thief really must have been stupid. He didn’t even bother taking any of the other 19 cards.”
“I don’t understand. The first test had succeeded! I proved how humans act while in Despair! I proved it! The range of emotions and actions when-… no, actually, this is good. Yes, the results of the second test were nothing special to begin with. Who cares if I somehow ended up back in the first test? This time, I’ll do things even better!”
“Hmm… so that’s it. HE was the one responsible for this. I should’ve known. Should’ve killed him more thoroughly in the second test. Why did that accursed _______ have to undo all of my results?! My spy isn’t responding either. Did he kill her? No matter… I’ll show him. Fifteen cards are still in my possession. He doesn’t stand a chance.”
“NO! He found it! My card storage room! How?! It should’ve been locked! Only AiWish could have possibly known about it because she has The Tower-… did he really…? No, that’s impossible… it goes against everything he believes in! Urgh… this isn’t over yet. I will retake control of this game… this test of Despair… then I will kill him, and complete my research in peace.”
“He’s sent a formal invitation to me. Is this a challenge? He wants to meet me in the music room. Well, he might just be delusional enough that he thinks he can actually kill me. Hmm… I’ll accept this challenge. I have nothing to worry about. After all, I am Immortal.”
What this note seems to imply is that this whole murder game was actually a twisted "experiment" to test his so called "Theory of Despair" in which he used the students of Class 21 as his test subjects and was the one who originally created or owned the arcanas. Interestingly though, it also shows that someone had been messing around with his experiment, apparently even stole most of his arcana collection and even threatened to take over the game. It was even implied in the tapes that someone had taken over the game. If that were the case then it would only mean one thing. This person took over the game, killed everyone including Lumai then created a new game with a new batch of students and that someone...is sitting in the room with us right now...
Yes! It was you Mr. Mastermind! Your the one who stole the arcanas and used them to help you seize control of the game then created this game we are having right now!
Although I don't know yet your exact identity but I'm almost convinced it was you who tried to ruin Lumai's plans and took control of his game for your own malicious purposes!

Hmm... an interesting theory, but if what you say is true, then what is my motive?
Why would I go through all the trouble of recreating a game which I took over from someone else? There must be some benefit for myself, shouldn't there?

(OOC: At school, low on data, part of the reason I've been gone, have some plot.)
I'm almost sure that only myself and Kaito Kid have read this... But no matter. Let me share my findings from early in this game. This is a complete copy of the notebook from Room 7, word for word. Took me 15 minutes to write this down... And will probably only confuse us, but it should lead us to the truth!
“I have been here but a day, yet already I tire of this place. I seek to find a way out, but with all of these locked rooms this will not be easy. I also have the most unsettling feeling that I’ve been here before somehow…”
“After some largely unsuccessful searches I have concluded that this house involves a kind of magic. Yes, magic. I have seen some people receive cards, cards that give them uncanny abilities. How to obtain these cards, I am still uncertain.”
“These murders have been proving quite troublesome. I am unable to ascertain the murderer, but I feel that a large group is responsible. I’ve also heard some rumors about how the mastermind is among us from TianoSuru. How she came across this information is strange, but it will be worth a look into.”
