Your assumption is incorrect, Kanji. I checked the wounds with a screwdriver to be sure, and I found that they matched. I was immediately suspicious of the screwdriver laying around in the kitchen in the present, but it seems that nobody even laid their hands upon it for a good while, so it isn't relevant here. I even saw a screwdriver in the library, thinking that it was extremely important, but I found absolutely nothing on it, not even smudges implying that it was cleaned. So neither of those were relevant, leaving the one from the last murder as the only one I can think of being used. Unfortunately, Wine, I believe that whoever is in charge of the murder reports is a bureaucrat, as people are not added to the tally unless they confirmed the victim's death visibly, even if they have knowledge that somebody should be dead. Kanji, my question to you is whether or not Slaine's corpse on the cart was afloat in the middle of the pool or if it was over at one of the ends. It would really help if you remembered.
I failed last time, and while I don't intend on failing again, I require everybody's cooperation if I'm to even have a hope at succeeding.

I got rid of it once Sakuya got murdered with one because I didn't want to be associated as the one guy with a screwdriver.

Snake had the same idea with one of the bottles of anesthetic. He had a syringe full of it as well, but he was afraid of being lynched so he kept quiet. His bottle was completely empty by the time of the murder as well, but I didn't doubt him back then. All I know now is that this is clearly a copycat murder, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's the same culprit. Especially since most of us followed along with the trial last time, we'd be aware of the cold hard facts behind it, which means anybody could have easily gone and committed it.
Well, my syringe is still full of anesthetic and I'm carrying a cleaver on me now, but otherwise, my inventory remains unchanged, so I'd like to rule myself out so we don't waste time, unless any of you have any objections towards that. I suppose both Tsurugi and grudgingly enough Kanji with his verbal bullet could be included as well.

The body was floating upside down, in the middle of the pool. Cart was at the bottom of the pool. Board of wood was floating in the pool too

That truly is interesting... Because the corpse is on the side of the pool now, presumably because Tsurugi brought it over to check it. This does make me wonder about something, though. There are blood splashes on the side of the pool yet again, yet the corpse was afloat in the middle of it? Paired up with the deeper wounds, it just makes me believe that... the culprit killed Slaine with the screwdriver for sure, as the wounds are deeper this time. Perhaps they even hit some organs, I'll find out eventually. They must have pushed it out into the middle of the pool, though. That's where I found those nails, and seemingly that's where the cart sunk to and the wood floated up above. Why...? Perhaps because of this.
There was something that everybody else neglected to mention so far, however. Something that disturbs me greatly. This corpse is old. Slaine is decomposing. The trail is also old. Thus, we were either extremely inattentive, or somehow the corpse decided to speed up and skip past rigor mortis, something I find to be highly unlikely.
We're dealing with a culprit who had the time to go clean themselves off and sit and wait for days, put simply.

We were all investigating the past and future, no one was ever in the present. Also, I pulled the body and cart out of the pool.

...Tsurugi... may I ask when you put down the screwdriver... and whether it was the one used to kill Sakuya...

I believe it was yesterday or the day before, in short, definitely not when the murder happened, so I wouldn't worry.
Are we going to be going for alibis this time around, or?

"Okay, the fact that the body is few days old. This means the murder was done few days ago. And that in fact means few things. Lets go through them one at a time:" "First: The last murder was done 3 days ago. This murder is a copycat murder so it must have been done after previous one since we saw no corpse in the future of this murder and it should have appeared there if it was done in present time previous to first trial. Yeah, that should be the case. Combined with the fact that body is few days old, this means it should have been done in 1-2 day interval after the first trial, the earlier, the more likely. And that means that people who after being busy with trial proceeded to rush to unlock further school areas were likely to be together. This might create an alibi for few of the people we know. BUT! Be wary, even with these alibis, we don't know the murder time for sure so it could be that culprit might just be hiding among these, so still be vigilant and consider only most absolute alibis to be correct. Well then, lets go with my first: After the trial of first murder, I resumed my private investigation at the body of Tsurugi, confirming himself to be dead from Sakuya's throwing knives. Once done, I went to Basement Floor 1 and after looking around, I went to Stuff Dormitory. I think I've seen Nagoto once around that time though she quickly disappeared from sight. Afterwords, I proceeded trying to get into weird bed's secret compartment. After half a day of fruitless effort, I noticed Kamui and Roy around me. Then I spent another half a day trying at the bed and finally got in. At that moment, I noticed that Nagato came in and left a message for Kamui to rejoin her at their previous place. Once done, I left Stuff Dormitory and went to Present timeline to discover the opening of Basement Floor 2 there. Once there, I noticed all kind of faces moving around there, so I am assuming the murder was already finished by then." "Second: It concerns Kanji's Testimony. Kanji notices someone leaving the Gym after he discovers the body. But once he discovers it, it is already few days after the murder is done. So, if that someone is in fact the first person who has found the body and they did that just now, it makes my theory of culprit not seeing the corpse correct. It could also be that they are culprit and in that case there could be various reasons for them being there and they are likely to be first finder. There is also a possibility of them being just a random bystander. And finally, the last possibility is whole testimony being a lie. Thats it." "Judging by the above, I must confess that I already have a canon of who could be the culprit. But I want to wait until alibi list and possible witnesses of my suspect around the area first before I accuse them out loud."

...My alibi would be... I simply cannot be bothered... also that a certain god... got mad... the last time... something happened... so it would be too much of a risk... to pick up... certain objects...

-Raidou tilts his had down covering his eyes-
"Uh, hmm. Well you see I don't exactly have an Alibi... I was asleep in the Counselor's Office. I guess moving that bookcase really tired me out.
-chuckling nervously Raidou slowly nods off-

"No, you see Raidou. The shelf you moved is in fact in past timeline. But the murder was, as I am suspecting, done before past timeline even was unlocked. So yeah, that still doesn't work as alibi... Unless you have any for the actual time of the murder..."

Well Tsurugi came to me while I was investigating me own corpse about 2 days ago. And I didn't move from there until I went to the past, I know that's not much of an Alibi but it's all I got.
