The discussion on the death of Slaine Troyad will be held here.
If no verdict is made within 24 hours, the trial will be inconclusive.

Do you feel like giving yourself up right off the bat, or are we going to have to go through all of this again?
Victim: Slaine Troyad
Time of Death: The body was found at approximately 9:30pm EST by Tsurugi Kanzaki
Cause of Death: Unknown
Location: The body was found at the Present Pool
... For anybody that hasn't checked the report yet, there you go.

Well, let's start with the facts. The culprit who killed Slaine used the same calling card as they did the last murder.
Presents Verbal Bullet - Missing Cart
This cart was found by the pool, just like in Sakuya's murder. So either the culprit is Sakuya's killer or a copycat.
Additionally, we know that I am innocent since I discovered Slaine's body on the BDA. jj went to get me because he said he found the body as well, so he's most likely innocent as well.

"Sorry, Tsurugi. That is far to early to say. Because if you remember the previous trial, I mentioned the way you could get around with killing and not finding the corpse. Thus, even if it was a copycat and not actual repeat murder, anyone would be able to know that way and then use it in order to faint innocence. Sorry, but that card will not work in this trial."

Please don't even attempt to refute this as anything but a copycat murder.
On a side note, I went ahead and got myself drenched in blood. Figured the pool would be hiding some secrets, so I checked, and lo and behold, I found five nails. A rather worrisome number, wouldn't you all agree?

Actually I am innocent!
Presents-Verbal Bullet: Kanji's Testimony
After I found the body, meaning I was the 2nd person to find it, I searched around. When I followed the blood trail from the pool to the gym, which ended at the right wing btw, I noticed someone leaving the room. ( I personally didn't see this, but my character did, apparently)
Anyway, the person I saw left quickly, I saw no characteristics of the person. However he/she was holding a saw.

Good to see that you've got a bullet for that, though none of us were accusing you just yet. Nice to know they had a saw as well. Did you inspect the saw in Lab 127? I believe there used to be one over there.

I should also mention everything I found. When I discovered the body, I pulled the corpse, the cart and the board out of the pool. I inspected Slaine. And found that he was not poisoned, had no needle marks on his body, and had circular wounds, similar to Sakuyas, on his body. The wounds were deep not shallow. His eyes were also bloodshot and his body had apparently been dead a few days. The cart was empty and the board of wood was similar to those from the last trial. The board was not big enough to cover the cart, completely. I checked the nurses office and found 2 empty bottles of anesthetic. I checked lab 127, and found a bunch of construction equipment, including, boards of wood, nails, hammers and saws. I also got Tsurugi, and he was the 3rd person to find the body.

Well, the only problem with your logic here is that there wasn't the same number of boards found beside Slaine's body. There was only one. So unless you can come up with a way for a killer to move Slaine from the Right Wing Hallway to the Pool without seeing the body behind him, then it doesn't make any sense that the killer did not see Slaine's body. Additionally, Slaine was stabbed in the neck, stomach, and limbs with similar wounds, so the possibility that the killer killed Sakuya as well is extremely high.

"The answer is simple Tsurigi. The culprit didn't need to. They could just stab the culprit to the point where he is left alive, drop him in the pool and before he bleeds out and dies, turn around and leave the pool without looking. That way they don't find the corpse and everything matches up."

"I found holes in the body in the stomach, limbs and neck." I mentioned this. The same wounds that Sakuya had. Except Slaines wounds were deeper. I assume a screwdriver, might not be the weapon this time?

Presents Verbal Bullet: Missing Cart.
NO!, You've got that wrong.
The cart was in the pool with him! So most likely the cart was used to push him to and into the pool. And if you remember what type of cart this is. (look at Danganronpa Chapter 3 trial)
Then you know, you are unable to pull this cart. You can only bend down and push it. So, the culprit DEFINITELY saw the body.
And don't forget, this was the same type of cart. Used in Kasuyas death.

"*sigh* Look, Kanji, what was the argument for culprit to finding the corpse first in the first trial? It was to confirm victim would be unable to get out from under the wooden boards. With everyone having confirmed it was enough for victim not to get out in first trial, there is no longer any need for culprit to stay to confirm before the victim dies. Thus making the whole "I found the body, I am innocent" nonsense completely irrelevant. Don't try to take out a highly possible culprit out of your mind because of your prejudice. Suspect everyone around you."
