The Imaginary Sector

Upon entering the elevator, you find yourself suddenly transported to a large circular room. There are trial stands set up in a circle around a transparent floor overlooking the monster from the Central Prison. A man dressed in a white hooded overcoat with a white scarf wrapped around his mouth and neck sits at the front of the room. The elevator awaits at the back.

Well, at least he doesn't LOOK like he wants to eat us or something.

"The privilege? Our companions are dead and there are corpses littering this place, this ship that belonged to LI. What does a god even need from us?"

"It seems you still don't understand, I am a god. I can kill a gaiaphage by myself easily, even several hundred if need be. So why do I need the help of you chimeras again?"

I will take a different side on that Shiori. The goal of the chimeras is to merge the conceptual and the real. You are here in the Imaginary sector as its called, I would imagine you are not fully capable of entering the realm of reality. Your goal was likely to further the research of the chimeras enough so that enough rift energy would be allowed for a powerful enough being, of some description, to serve as your "vessel" in the realm of reality. That or rend the reality of this place so much that a distortion between reality and imaginary is created and you can enter the realm of reality.

So basically you wanna be a real boy. Kind of like Pinocchio, except as a god instead of a puppet. Perhaps a little bit of an extended analogy, but it kind of works.
