Dichotomatic Timeline: Murder Report #2

Hmm... hmm... you mortals did better than I thought on the first murder... now let's ramp it up a notch.

Victim: Maria Ushiromya

Cause of Death: The victim appears to have both her arms(!) cut off at the shoulders. The cuts are jagged and rough, the victim is lying faceup on the floor with blood pooled underneath them. The victim's face is contorted in agony, and there is a cloth gag in the victim's mouth.

Time of Death: The victim was discovered by Hinaichigo and Ririchiyo who broke down the door to the Kitchen. The door was open, but somehow wouldn't budge. The body was found in the evening at 8pm. Judging by how dry the blood at the scene was and the extent of rigor mortis, it is estimated that the victim died anywhere from 6 to 12 hours ago.

Location: The victim was found in the Kitchen just in front of the door. A large dried pool of blood is underneath them. The victim was only found after the door was broken down. A small wooden bar with dried glue was found at the base of the door inside the Kitchen. Light blood trails lead from the body across the entire first floor of the mansion. The blood trails made complex loops through all of the rooms on the first floor, went to the second floor, and looped through all of the rooms on the second floor as well. There was also blood found on the ladder leading up to the Attic. Inside the Attic, there was another maze of blood trails among the crates, stopping at where both of Maria's arms were found in a corner of the room, lying next to the wall.

Circumstances Before Death: In the morning at 8am, everyone woke up and Shiori proposed to go on a tour of the rose garden. Koishi immediately agreed and everyone else soon followed. Only Blitzcrank and Maria did not attend, and did not answer the call at their guest room doors.

Investigation: The tour of the rose garden lasted until 7:30pm when everyone hurried back. Upon entering the mansion, everyone immediately noticed the blood trails all over the place. The whole group split up and investigated, finally gathering together when Hinaichigo and Ririchiyo called them over to the Kitchen. Only the Study was not investigated due to it being locked at the time. Inside the Kitchen everyone found a Study Key lying on the floor.

The Study Key was used to unlock the Study, and everyone searched inside. On one of the bookshelves in the Study, a Master Key was found.

All guest rooms were investigated after they were unlocked by their respective guests. Only Yue's room, which had had its door broken down, was open at the time. Blitzcrank was confirmed to be sleeping in his room, and woke up due to all of the commotion. Maria's room had its door broken down and was confirmed to be empty. The blood trails led through every guest room without exception. All guest rooms had the windows locked from the inside, none of them were locked by chain.

Please note that I will not be giving out any red truths at this time until 6 hours have passed. Dead players and new players who have applied to Binary Distortion may still participate in this pregame, however the only suspects for this murder are the players who have currently applied to Binary Distortion.

For clarification I will also mention that all murders are cumulative, this means that Yue is still dead.

Let's get a some things out of the way. Could you confirm a few things?
The blood trails were not there in the morning when everyone left for the tour.
There was no stragglers who stayed behind for a while before joining the tour.
Everyone was together during the tour.
No one returned to the mansion during the tour.
The murder happened after everyone left for the tour.
Blitzcrank and Maria were the only ones who stayed behind.
Blitzcrank did not wake while everyone was away and did not answer the call because he was asleep.
The cut was created with a dull object, like a spade.
The Thraxinator is not involved.
The wooden bar would have prevented anyone from entering through the door, including if they had attempted to remove the door.
There are no windows or other passages leading into the kitchen.
There are no other glue marks.
The wooden bar was not glued to both the door and the floor.
The Master Key is involved with this murder.
The blood trails are in the study as well.
The blood trail was mostly continuous (as in there was no intentional attempts to stop the flow of blood).
There was no blood on the players before the investigation.
We have found what evidence there was to be found.
The evidence of Yue's murder does not influence this murder.
The evidence of this murder does not influence Yue's murder.
Breaking down the door did not disturb the evidence.
Due to the existence of the Master Key, the guest rooms are not closed rooms.
No evidence was manipulated after the investigation started.
There is more blood in the areas where the culprit was standing to open the doors.
The blood trails were created by the blood dripping from the arms.
The windows were not used by the culprit.
Maria missed the call because she was asleep.
There is no accomplice.

All members of the tour left the mansion together.
Blitzcrank and Maria were the only ones who refused to go on the tour.
The cuts on Maria's arms were definitely created by a sharp object(s)
The wooden bar at the base of the door would have prevented any means of entry through the door.
There are windows in the kitchen, but they were all locked from the inside.
Knox's 3rd: Hidden passages do not exist.
There are blood trails in the study.
The blood trails are mostly continuous, I won't say they're completely continuous since they are light and composed of drops.
Nothing related to Yue's murder is involved in this murder.
No evidence was manipulated during investigation.

The time of death does not mean the time of the arm-cutting.

It is possible to assault Maria before the trip and leave her (and her arms) in the Kitchen until the trip, without contradicting other facts of the crime.

Maria's arms lack enough blood to be confirmed as a likely cause of the drips trails in the mansion.

All drip trails are confirmed to be made of blood.

All rooms, except the Kitchen, are confirmed to have only blood trails, not splatters from possible attacks or other means.

All blood trails leading to the Guest Rooms actually go INTO the rooms.

All players attending the trip locked their respective rooms themselves prior to leaving the Mansion.

The loss of Maria's arms are confirmed to be due to actual cuts and not by brute force removal.

Hmm... I will admit the time of death is not necessarily equivalent to the time of Maria's arms being cut.

I won't comment on possibilities, nor on Maria's arms and the amount of blood.

All blood trails are actually trails of blood in case you still had doubts from the name "blood trails".

I refuse to say that all rooms have blood trails. This is because there are more rooms than those within the mansion.

I refuse to comment on the blood trails leading into the guest rooms. This is because the blood trails are complex and it is ambiguous whether they are leading into or out of the rooms. I will say that there are definitely blood trails inside the guest rooms.

All guest rooms were locked prior to the tour.

Maria's arms were definitely cut off, using a sharp object of some sort.

"Maria was assaulted the night before the trip, in the Kitchen. Or alternatively, while everyone was gathered for the trip, though probably the former to ensure that enough only just blood existed to create the (light) trails. She was overpowered and gagged before her arms were cut off. The culprit then took a knife and required multiple slashes to cut through the arms, due to the bones. The body and arms were left in the Kitchen, while the culprit waited in the Kitchen for everyone to leave.

But the culprit, before the trip began, stumbled across a Master Key, or Study Key. This key(s) enabled the culprit to make red herring trails to numerous rooms within the Mansion with the arms during the trip, and also lock both their room and Maria's room prior to the crime. If there are no other wounds on the victim, it also means the culprit kidnapped the sleeping victim without issues, prior to the assault. The culprit ended the trail in the Attic, then returned to their room to gain lost sleep. The culprit is Blitzcrank.

Maria was not killed in the Kitchen, she was also not assaulted inside her guest room. You have also failed to explain how the culprit managed to seal the Kitchen after leaving Maria inside.

The only way the murder you described could possibly have been done is by Blitzcrank right? Everyone else was on the tour. Except Blitzcrank never entered the guest hallway after he had gone to sleep in his guest room the previous night!

Blitzcrank's doors and windows were locked in the morning when the tour was proposed and remained locked after the tour group had left, however, I refuse to comment on whether they were opened or not later. I will not explain the reason.

It would be much too obvious if he was the culprit, so I suspect a frame.
I will go with the assumption that Maria was asleep when the tour started, although she could have been otherwise indisposed.
Someone returned during the tour and used the opportunity to kill Maria.
As Mystio and Maria had been arguing with Maria previously, she is a possible culprit.
The pain inflicted on Maria prior to her death indicates that the culprit either had personal issues with Maria or was just a generally sick individual.
In order to spread suspicion, the culprit used the Maria's arms to spread the trail of blood all over the mansion. It is easier to carry than her body.
The culprit had gotten hold of the study key and master key at some point, probably before the murder.
I would like confirmation on whether the master key had been kept in the study until the culprit took it and was returned afterwards.
Steve seems to be a heavy sleeper as he did not respond when we called him, so it would not be unthinkable that he slept through the culprit spreading the blood in his room.
It could be that Maria and Steve were drugged in preparation for the murder.
This would then throw suspicion on Koishi or myself.
Koishi had been quite enthusiastic and may have used circumstances to aid in the murder.
I was the one that proposed the tour and could have used it as cover.
We would need confirmation that Koishi and myself did not return to the mansion before the end of the tour.
The guest room doors are not closed rooms as the master key could open them all.
The study is not a closed room as the study key was found in the kitchen.
The kitchen is not a closed room as glue does not dry immediately. The bar could have been glued to the door with some glue under and closed to let the bar stick to the floor. If that is not accepted due to the lack of glue trails then the glue could have been applied to the area where the bar would end up with the door closed to glue it to the floor.
Whatever the case, I am the most likely culprit.

From when the tour began in the morning until it ended at 7:30pm, nobody except for Blitzcrank and Maria set foot in the mansion. Everyone who participated in the tour was together at all times until the tour ended.

The master key was indeed originally in the study.

To break a few more points, no chemicals were used in this murder. The culprit was also not aware that the tour would be happening until it was announced.

The force applied to the bar in the Kitchen would not have been enough to make it stick so much that a person would not be able to break the seal with a push. The only way this could happen is if the bar was first glued to the wall, then after the glue had dried, more glue was applied to the bar. But the glue was applied to the bar simultaneously at both the wall and the door.

The culprit was also not aware that the tour would be happening until it was announced.
Can you confirm whether Blitz slept through the call in the morning?

How does the kitchen door open? In towards the kitchen? Is it possible to pull a string through the gap?

With what I gather from the current "truths," Maria woke after the group had left for the tour.
Confused as to why everyone was gone, she went around the mansion looking for people. She either already had the study key or found the study key in the process and then obtained the master key. She then found Blit... Steve and he murdered her for disturbing his slumber. He had heard the call in the morning and decided not to go. He asked Maria to run around spreading blood (perhaps Yue's), presumably for the golden witch or whatever else she would accept. He left through the window to the kitchen. Maria returned the master key to the study. When she followed to the kitchen, he proceeded gag her, cut off Maria's arms, and leave her to die from blood loss. She dropped the study key or he tossed it aside. He applied glue to the bar and, using a small string or something else small enough to slip through, held it on the door until it dried. He scaled the wall to the attic and made more confusing trails there to blend with the trails Maria had created then left her arms there. He cleaned up, returned to his room, locked the window, and continued napping.

Blitzcranberries is the culprit! He stalked her the night before, asking her repeatedly for what she likes, things she wants. Everyone else decided to go on a trip the next day, opting to purchase a gift for her! Secretly though, they all came back in the middle of the day to give her strawberry jam from the Kitchen! You see, Maria's arms are allergic to strawberry jam , so when she went into the Kitchen, they popped off and ran away! Meanwhile, Blitzcrank left to get Beatrice and Erika to come over for her party! But as he was bringing them over, Maria had begun chasing her arms all across the Mansion! Until she finally returned to the Kitchen to get ketchup, where she passed out from playing too much. By the time the others left the house, Blitzykins had become too tired to give Maria her surprise party, so Beato and Erika decided to leave a Study Key for Maria, to encourage her to study and become a good student! As a reward, she'd get the Master Key, the blade of evil's bane! But alas, she wouldn't wake up until the others came back. Those others, true scoundrels they are, then took her presents and flaunted them until she died of sorrow!! Those monsters, they stole her hopes and dreams, killing her heart!! ... So Blitzcranberries is not the culprit!?
