Here we are once again then. I might as well open things up with the obvious.

For anyone that has yet to examine the corpse, this is what I could gather. He was covered in sweat, soot and there was a curiously small hole in the back of his neck, about 2mm in diameter. He was apparently in significant pain when he died. From what I could gather, he had a rapier, a blank notebook and a pen on his person. There was no soot on the soles of his shoes, but it was there on top of his shoes. His clothing and hands also had quite a bit of soot on them. The soot immediately made me think of the fire that occurred over at 2-1, so I investigated over there.

I'll leave what I found out over there for you guys to talk about, unless nobody else knows.

I would appreciate it if we covered that topic whether it was related to the case or not.

I will help where I can, but I haven't been able to investigate due to being laid up in the hospital.

Ayame comes in and sits down, not attempting to put on a naive front like last time. Why wear the mask when people know it's a mask?

"Sayaka and I found many interesting things, but in the interest of continuity, I don't think we found anything out about the fire, so I would say that you should go ahead and tell us what you found out about it. Then we can get back to what we found."

She seems troubled, almost hesitant to bring up what they found.

If it wasn't on the news I haven't heard much, all I know is that my house burned down, but my family wasn't inside at the time which is great news.

I searched your house, Adell. The results weren't very fruitful. At least, at first they weren't.

After searching for enough time, I found something that didn't belong in the rubble of the house. Something that really shouldn't have been there. In the rubble of a bedroom, I found a half-charred plastic bottle that was labeled "hazardous material". Poison, essentially. What was a bottle of poison doing in there, I wonder?

Please, continue discussing, I'm interested in seeing what everybody else found. I'll contribute more as the debate progresses.

Great, so somebody burned down my house to dispose of a bottle of poison. Fantastic. I am really hoping the person who burned down my house isn't the murderer so I can break their face in when the trial ends.

Yuuji go die in a hole somewhere. Nobody likes a man who uses snipers and shotguns to attack people.

Earlier today Ayame and I split up to find some clues. We'd found a syringe in a trashcan in the 2-1 apartment from the nurse's office in the school, so I checked there. I didn't really find anything and decided went inside the science lab and found the hazardous cabinet lock broken and that it was open. The syringe was also used, so I think we could assume it was used in this case.

Well while those guys are focusing on who killed the police chief, mind explaining why you aren't dead?

I got to a hospital after you so kindly shot me with a shotgun and attempted to splatter my brains with a sniper. Last I checked you were bleeding out in a pool of our blood.

"Well, just about everything I found out was mentioned here. Though now I must conclude: The cause of death was poison. I knew it was a needle of some kind. The rapier was far too small."

"I know many of you don't like me, but that does not matter. All I will say is that I have a valid alibi this time. From 10 AM until approximately the time of the report, I was working in City Hall. I was in the presence of the mayor - if required, I'm sure you could get something from him to confirm. I'd prefer it wasn't required, however. The mayor is a busy man."

"As for whom I suspect, I have a feeling that the murderer was intensely knowledgeable. After all, to so precisely administer poison without even drawing blood... It's abnormal. And so, I will question one person."

"Tsukino Ayame, was it? What is your alibi?"
