Black Inkwell (Lower)

Here you see an enormous room with giant pools completely filled with black ink built into the ground. Some pools of ink have giant feathered quills sticking out of them, others are filled only with ink, and a few are empty. You see some large mechanical hands up above, pulling out and putting in quills at random, as well as enormous buckets up above which occasionally dip down and fill a pool with ink. There appears to be a catwalk up above that workers could use to oversee the machinery, but it is much too high for you to reach. Two doors lead off to different areas on either sides of the room.

(The floor here is splattered with ink, and walking through this room will leave footsteps)
