Spire of Enlightenment and Insanity

As you enter the spire from an old wooden doorway, you can see a massive circular stairwell leading up into the distance. Upon reaching the top of the stairwell, you find a single door. The door has some words engraved on it, along with a computer screen and keyboard which you can apparently on type in CAPS. The screen appears to ask for a password.
The words engraved on this door are as follows:
“I am that which devours all,
Before me, trees, mountains, and man alike will fall.
Face me before you draw your final breath,
And you will find a Fate worse than Death.”
