There is a large domed building up on a hill a fair distance away from the village. The building's walls are made from reinforced glass. You can see the tower a little more clearly from here.
Inside the building you find a large telescope built into a pedestal, pointing diagonally upwards, accompanied by a smaller set of binoculars pointing diagonally downwards. A trapdoor has been opened off to the side of the room.
There is a notebook lying in the center of the room.
