Character Plot Objectives
Alright this rule thread is a little unique in what I am going to explain here. I am having several people talking to me about alternate objectives and motivations for entering the wind wall. As I am accommodating their plots and allowing some changes to mechanics I will open this opportunity for everyone. Lets begin the explanation.
Money is not Everything (sometimes)
Zircon revolves around the supply of gold and players warring over that money. I understand that certain characters are having extreme difficulty justifying the race for money in order to achieve victory. If you character has a unique motive for braving the wilderness of Zircon you can get a specific victory condition created for you character along with some unique rules.
Example Alternative Goal:
Motive: Zwolf the Bear has no desire for gold and simply wishes to wander the wilderness.
New Goal: In order to achieve victory Zwolf must discover the comfiest position on the map to sleep.
Player objectives WILL be more complicated than this but this serves as a very basic example. I am willing to discuss and determine alternative objectives for characters, but be forewarned a new objective means new failure rules. In Zircon the only way to truly LOSE is to perish, as long as you still live victory is still a possibility. Characters who trade the old objectives for new ones may find that they will lose Zircon if they fail to meet certain requirements, say failing to protect an item or escaping the wind wall. These will be determined on a person to person basis, but I reserve the right to refuse your character a differing objective for any reason.
If you wish to discuss an alternative objective then you MUST PM me on skype and speak with me. If I deem your alternative objective satisfactory I will work it into a general overall plot of Zircon.
