Government Provided Map and Letter

Upon agreeing to investigate the Wind Wall and the lands within, and signing a contract with the government, you have been provided with a basic map of the encased area.


This map shows the entirety of the Area in a grid format and the differing conditions inside have been listed on the back.
(Apologies, I wanted everything to be from a bird's eye perspective, but apparently nobody takes pictures like that.)

A note has been copied onto the back of all the maps. It reads-

"Dear Explorer,

I am having this message transcribed onto the back of all the maps provided so that I can inform you on what I can learn about the inside of the wind wall. Based on what research I have performed there are several anomalies occurring through the regions. I have made sure the map has had a grid laid over it so that I can provide some basic navigation towards these points and assist in solving the mystery of this place. I also have a location where I wish to steer away all but the most courageous. I shall begin with that place. The very peak of the mountain located at (13,10) is where I detect the greatest anomaly and it seems to be mobile. It moves around periodically but spends most of its time there. Something is alive there and is either heavily affected or heavily involved in this predicament. Based on those who have braved the wind wall before I have no solid information on what this thing is but it isn't friendly. Only those willing to put their very lives should confront this being, all others should run and stay out of its notice. I shall now list the locations in which I have sensed minor anomalies, please take care in examining these locations.

The anomalies occur sporadically, but the most recent are:

Lastly I wish to mention that some strange structures have been spotted that shouldn't be there. I haven't been able to pin down exact locations but there is at least one such structure in the floodplains. That might make a good place to begin your search.

Actually I have one last notice. The only thing you will be allowed to take out of the wind wall will be what you brought in and any gold you discover. Some minor exceptions may be made for items whose only purpose is wealth, but everything else is officially considered contraband. You will be heavily searched upon leaving the wind wall and any contraband will be taken from your possession. Do not attempt to sneak out anything or you will be punished...and I will handle it personally
