Hello Everybody
Considering the fact that Season Crown just ended I wanted to make a feedback thread about what I liked, and didn't like, about the season in general. Let's start with what I liked:
Pros:
Considering the fact that Season Crown just ended I wanted to make a feedback thread about what I liked, and didn't like, about the season in general. Let's start with what I liked:
Pros:
Death is Never the End, The Ghost System: Initially the ghost system seemed tacked on just as a way to allow players to continue to participate after they died. It served this purpose well and allowed me to continue to enjoy myself despite the fact that I was the first to "give up the ghost." My ability to affect the game environment was limited, but introduced some interesting ideas on how I both assist and hinder the other players. The Ghost system was even more than just an effective mechanic. The Ghost system was wholly intertwined with the plot of the season which grants it major kudos and made a fun plot twist. It was also hinted at that it was possible to for me to win even as a ghost through various means such as wresting away the power of the Princess or near the end I found a way to "absorb" some kind of power. Sorry Yin, I might have drained your corpse of its remaining life force. The Ghost System was a blast to use and fit in perfectly with the plot, loved it.
HOLY HELL EVERYTHING IS ON FIRE, The Puzzles: As most people realized a couple of the puzzles ended with the room bursting into flames, those were enjoyable puzzles. There isn't a whole lot for me to elaborate on here besides the fact that the majority of the puzzles were well done and fun to solve.
Actions Speak Louder Than Words, Investigator Vote: The fact that sheep and people who did not participate in the investigation/trial do not get to vote seems minor, but really helps the overall movement of the story. It prevented someone from just yelling "IT WAS PERSON X" and everybody just bandwagoning and screwing over the couple of people who actually participated. While it did severely limit the number of voters I still feel it had a positive impact.
And the truth is...., The Mystery and Plot: Nothing much to elaborate on here. The plot as far as I saw had a lot of interesting moments and several twists involved that gave me more reason to try and progress. For the most part I enjoyed the plot, especially those 5 seconds after I died and realized Vicky was a Ghost.

Cons:
Mass Effect 4, The Ending: I enjoyed the season and what I got to do during it but nothing quite matched the slap in the face I got when I read the conclusion and was told, its over. "I don't like the way everything is going so I ended it." While it is always the masterminds decision and sometimes things happen that prevent them from hosting this was kind of depressing. While the executing everybody in trial because of a feeling is very in character, it actually doesn't make me feel better this time.
OP Powers Return of the Jedi, Power Balancing...Again: For the most part I did not see a whole lot of ridiculous powers, but they tended to make one player dominate in a specific area. I was ridiculous in trials whereas Saku was crazy at combat. I liked that for the most part since with some wit and planning you could work around the powers, say me almost killing Saku in combat with my Dust Explosion Bomb. It does seem that some powers like Poke's Revival were kind of ridiculous since they allowed him a ridiculous advantage in certain situations. I feel it would have been better to tie in the whole alchemy thing to help push the plot forward with a possible revival ritual. The fact that one player could revive a plot character seems kind of insane.

Final Verdict:
I had a blast with what I got to play despite being the first to kick the bucket. Supposed mortal enemies or not I have to give praise where praise is due.
Well Done
