Both the 4th and 5th prince's bathrooms were very recently and meticulously cleaned, so it didn't matter which one I used. "Just a moment, Otoshin. You said both the Fourth and Fifth Prince's bathrooms were recently and meticulously cleaned? Would this not then implicate any of Prince Tubeppa's guards?"
"Bearing in mind the drip trail and that Prince Tubeppa is the only prince that could have potentially missed someone entering the suite and washing off after the murder, this would implicate her guards more, no? Didn't Hu Tao mention in her testimony that, during the blackout, Ruka joined her conversation with Tubeppa in the lab partway through? This means that Ruka was completely unaccounted for in that period of time. The passageway in the lab may not have been used to get away from the scene, but Ruka could have certainly used one of the bathrooms in Prince Tubeppa's suite, joining them in the lab soon after.""I believe we are owed an explanation rather than a deflection this time, Ruka."

I have nothing to add, other than I believe that the killer might still be in the room with the victim when she died, that's all.

"If you are gonna trust Huttie's testimony about seeing me, can you please trust all of her testimonies? I think I was busy talking to someone the entire time I was in that hallway." "Also, are you forgetting that me and Huttie aren't only guards in Tubby's service? There's also -Bert, you know, that guy whose alibi is being alone in the kitchen that murder weapon came from." "I ask that Hu Tao and Ruka both present their SHSL abilities and prove them to us right here and now. The possibilities hidden away by the SHSL abilities inside the delicious fluffiness of a marshmallow prove to be a potentially important factor in the murder! We don't know what they do, so with you both as prime culprits at the moment, it's best if you shared. If not, I feel as though it may be considered a confession of guilt." "Sorry, Count. But I don't want you busy thinking how I could've used my SHSL to commit this murder, so instead I will just say that I did not use mine during the last blackout. If you think I'm a culprit, then think how to prove that I lied just now instead."

"While you press your present leads, do not forget to consider all options! Remember that Albert and Teng Bei were also on the first deck during the blackout, with the former in the kitchen and the latter in His Highness the 3rd Prince's study."

"Hold on, I'm getting mixed signals. Otoshin, yes or no, do you think the culprit is one of Tubeppa's guards?"

"No, no, no, Ruka is innocent! I'm also very innocent! Hu Tao is innocent too, we're all innocent, we're probably the most innocent group on this ship."
"I-I know who the culprit is... the culprit must be Albert, he could have easily left the kitchen, stabbed Christie, and went right back! Even though the blood trail goes the wrong way... that must be a red herring left by Albert to throw us off track! The bathroom cleaning is also a red herring, they're all red herrings! I bet he even collaborated with the first prince's guards to orchestrate the blackout!"

"You do recall that Prince Tserriednich did say that the missing fillet knife from the main kitchen was taken to replace the knife missing from his own kitchen? A knfie which Odelia has confessed to being in possession of? If you want to accuse me because I was in the room some think the knife was sourced from, why not accuse the person we know is in possession of one?"

"I bet he even collaborated with the first prince's guards to orchestrate the blackout!" ”What a bold accusation, Private! I have never conspired with the esteemed chef, nor am I aware that my colleagues have either. You should be careful not to slander His Royal Highness the 1st Prince’s staff with conjecture!”

"I'm not ruling out any possibilities, but your history of deflecting questions just seems a bit strange. I just find it difficult to believe that anyone outside of Prince Tubeppa's personal guard would enter the suite, even during the blackout. It would simply risk being discovered by another Prince and their guards. So how about someone explain why the bathroom in Prince Tubeppa's suite was cleaned meticulously and place when this happened so we get a better idea of this?"

We had a bear literally walk into 4th prince's bathroom and fill it with honey in broad daylight, why do you think nobody else would brave enough to do it under the cover of the darkness with 5th?" "As to why it was clean, dunno. I certainly didn't clean said bathroom myself." "Also, I'm sorry, but, you have to be more clear about what questions exactly I deflected."

"I'll have to ask that others also share their shsl abilities if you are going to force me to do so. It would only be fair. Your current argument is as flimsy as the cardboard you hold your chocolate bats within. The staff probably cleaned up the knife after the concert and I haven't the space to carry it anyway. Jekyll can attest to such as she knows the contents of my pockets. I was also not particularly subtle while wandering about. The pair in the library should have heard me talking to the staff around 9:22. I was shining my flashlight on the two in the guest commons at 9:26. The two in the hallway should have seen me pass around 9:30. Prince Tubeppa should have seen me enter the lab around 9:34 and I spent the rest of the time conversing. Do tell when I could have stabbed someone along the way, especially with the two standing in the hallway. On that note, would the unassuming guard and Ruka allow me to to check your shoes for traces of blood. Mine lacked such, but I wasn't in the hallway for quite as long."It's not like I checked all the princes' rooms a day before the murder happened or anything, that'd be ridiculous! That's something only the murderer would do, but I'm definitely not a murderer!" Hu Tao pauses for a moment, "Wasn't there mumbling about you entering every prince's room at some point? Seeing as one guard could do so, it isn't particularly strange to think that another could also have checked the rooms."

"Walking into a bathroom and fooling around cannot be compared to the possibility of being caught, covered in blood by another Prince or their guards. You're comparing apples to oranges, but you are right that I cannot completely accuse you as the killer, given that anyone could have walked into the bathroom. Nonetheless, I'm just saying it's less likely if your life is on the line and you could run into several witnesses, no?"
"I'm open to new theories about how the murder went, but I'm just trying to rule out suspects depending on the route taken."

"If we look at it another way, using your own room to clean would only make you more suspicious. Thus, the culprit likely chose a random room among the other prince's so they could direct the blame at other guards."

"Perhaps, but our list of potential suspects would then open up to include most of the people confirmed to be on Deck 1 during the blackout."

"You're applying a lot of nuance to what appears to be an impulse stab-and-run. I'm not sure the killer thought that far ahead."
