Fixer Applications

Welcome to the City! Here you will apply to become a newly minted Grade 9 Fixer. Once your status as a Fixer is approved by the Hana Association, you can join a Fixer Office and begin your work!

Concept

A description of your character as short as two words or a full paragraph backstory. This can be as simple or complex as you like, just know its going to be used to create the initial flavor of your skills so include any information you believe relevant! It will also be used in the creation of any character specific plot.

Origins
Where your character was born and/or raised. Affects the flavor of your starting build and potential connections your character has.

Nestborn :: You were born into a Nest, dominated by one of the Wings of the World. Such a life comes with benefits, an education and training intended to make you a suitable hire for any wing or office. Though you find yourself here now in District D, risking it all for a chance.

Backstreets :: You were born in the Backstreets of one of the cities districts, the sections of the city which slip outside the protection of the Wings. Such a life comes with benefits, playing by the rule of syndicates and the struggle for survival make you streetwise and cunning. An opportunity arose in District D, one you don't intend to let slip by.

Outskirts :: You were born in the Outskirts, those wastelands just outside the city filled with all manner of monstrosities. Such a life comes with benefits, survival in the outskirts is no mean feat and it is by only the thinnest margins you clamber your way into the City. Slipping through the City you have found yourself in District D, your strength and tenacity easily lending to the life of a Fixer.

Custom :: All Custom Origins will still fall into the scope of the above three, but if you have a very specific vision of  your starting flavor of abilities and your backstory can't cover it(Or you backstory is simply to complex to cover in one of these three), you can work with the Mastermind to label those details instead of picking one of the above options.

Your focus determines your starting skills. You can freely build into anything moving forward, so do not worry about this decision locking your characters role in combat. All focus's will contain at least one skill that deals damage.

Destruction :: Your character's starting build will contain skills that try to destroy your foes and carve a path forward.

Preservation :: Your character's starting build will contain skills that aim to preserve yourself, and potentially others, to see tomorrow.

Amplification :: Your character's starting build will contain skills aimed to amplify your ally's strength and enemy's weaknesses.

Custom :: Your character's starting build is....Something else.

Reginald lives in a low-income housing environment that goes by the colloquial name of "The Backstreets". Reginald and a group of his allies control certain areas of this section in order to run their illegitimate business. They possess unregistered firearms, stolen vehicles, mind-altering inhibitors, and only use cash for financial purchases.

If anyone would like to settle unfinished altercations, Reginald will be more than happy to release his address. He would like to warn you; he is a very dangerous person, and he regularly disobeys the law.

The nature of this world is not dissimilar to that of a computer.
The City itself, indeed, can be thought of as a large system - each individual district doing its part in maintaining the overall machine.
The City's residents can be considered the system's programs. These fall into a binary: Programs that assist the City, and programs that seek to harm it.

It is tantamount that the sancity of the City be maintained, and to that end, any potentially threatening program must be eliminated before it can do harm.
The City requires an antivirus, as any other important system does. It is vital that all of this machine's components be protected.
To that end, Reina Ichinose shall serve as District D's living antiviral program. That is the reason she was raised.

Character Concept: Your everyday employee. 
Larry's been an office worker the most of his life. It's what he was made for. Starting out as an unpaid intern, then advancing to the office coffee guy, then to minimally paid cubicle resident. Better times. His long held childish aspirations of joining the Hana or the Oufi Associations were nearly crushed by the harsh truth of real life.
Seeking an opportunity for vertical mobility and to better his resume by joining a brand new startup in District D, Larry's here to do what's best for the company culture. And not an ounce more.

Concept: A drifter claiming to be from the outskirts. Her true name is unknown, and she wanders the world alone, carrying with her a long sword. Though aloof and taciturn, her blade flicks out like lashing lightning. And yet, she always strikes with her scabbard, never drawing the sword free.

The Saiba Twins

The Saiba Twins are two identical twins who always stick together, used to spend most of their days lazing around playing and developing video games as a hobby. These two girls spent every single day living life to the fullest and enjoying it secluded and isolated in a room, never once have met their parents or others outside it, having only each other. However one day, they receive a notice from their parents on the day they became on age, telling them instructions to go out and become a Fixer.

The twins always stick together and love each other dearly, complementing each others' strengths and weaknesses. They may be weak and fragile compared to anyone else in The City, but together they just might make it as a Fixer. The twins have no idea just how harsh the real world might be, but they welcome the challenge. Although enthusiastic, they've never interacted with anyone but NPCs.

Focus: Custom (Passive Focus)

Extra: The twins will have two different types of skills to differentiate who is using them, simply as Pink Skills and Green Skills. The twins will share a HP/SP pool if in the same fight, however if somehow separated the current HP/SP is immediately halved (likely won't happen), and will lose access to the other color skills. Examples: A pink skill that aoes the area but disables the use of pink skills for the rest of the turn, a green skill that does an additional effect if used at the exact same time as a pink skill, very simple but fun effects.

Character Concept: One day a boy woke up finding himself in dumpster near one of the casinos in backstreets of District 10 with no recollection of who he is or what kind of life he lived before. Only things that he found on himself were: a rank 9 fixer license with name Joo Shiyoon on it, an odd unfamiliar sword he doesn't know how to wield, and finally official-looking papers explaining how he sold most of his belongings and memories off to cover up his debt to said casino. Feeling an odd refreshment of being able to start clean, he thought to himself: "Well darn, guess I need to find a job now. And what job is better for moderately slacking than a low rank fixer? Today must be my lucky day, haha. Alrighty, lets see what offices are recruiting."

Character Concept: Firefly grew up in the Nest of District O, but was kidnapped and experimented by the Wing and ultimately tossed out of the Nest following said experiment's failure. With the after-effects of the experimentation bound to her, she now seeks a way back into a Nest and has made her way towards District D to seek such an opportunity.

:Character Concept:
Superstitious despite her claims to the contrary, Saten spends most of her time chasing rumors and urban legends. Somewhere along the way, she convinced herself that she can sniff out money wherever it might be found. Her searches often gets her into dangerous places. She relies on gadgets which release bursts of air to escape, whether to blast things away or propel herself out of harm’s way. If all else fails, she can send her trusty bat into whatever problem might be in her way.

Shows a lack of shame, although she can read the room fairly well. She makes friends with ease, and often helps guide conversations from topics that are making someone uncomfortable. Relatively athletic from all her snooping around. She has a habit of picking up random skills, learning everything she can on the subject until she gets bored and finds something more interesting.

Character Concept:

Carbon is a simple man, really. Born into a family of good wealth, his father, Carbom, wanted to find a way to cheat the very concept of death, something he feared. In his mad pursuit, he made a substance that would extend one’s life, which the scientific community feared. If one was to play God, then who knows the consequences of it. Out of desperation, he tested it on his only son, Carbon, turning him into the super zombie that he is now.

With his newfound power, Carbon plans on continuing his father’s legacy, maybe make an army of super zombies that would fight for him. With the opportunity of District 4 opening, Carbon seized the chance to have some test subjects for his father’s parting dreams. Determined to finish his father’s goals, he could even start a new company and have his face plastered on it… Something like Carbon Solutions Inc. It’s all for profit margins, afterall.

Just someone so boring, there are no notable achievements about her.

Character Concept: Bea was travelling on a brief trip from her Nest to District D Nest for a small holiday, which just so happened to coincide with the collapse of District D Nest. Unfortunately during the travelling, and the collapsing she lost her paperwork to allow her back into her own Nest. She is now stuck within District D, with very little knowledge, but with a willingness to help!
