At the entrance, there are hundreds of people picking apart the junk that gets brought in, and choosing what might be useful for creation of machines or airship parts. The remainders are taken and melted down into useful parts, while the already usable material is immediately sent to the assembly line.
At the center of the forge, you can see a massive power core with a tower around it powering every single one of the furnaces and assembly lines. Thousands of people are running about, yelling, and the forge stretches on for miles, with most of the space taken up by massive, partially built junk airships.
There is a small, frail old man standing on top of the tower, and he seems to be directing all of the forge by himself.
