As you climb to the very top of the megavolcano, you can see across a continent-sized volcanic crater, and within you see an endless pool of lava bubbling and surging out at regular intervals. The shinsu in this area has a strange quality, as the temperature constantly shifts between searing hot and surprisingly cold. As bursts of lava strike the cold shinsu drafts, they abruptly solidify into rock, and then seconds later the rocks spontaneously combust into white or black flame and disintegrate, leaving a thick coat of ash on the ground. Circling above the crater, you can make out the small shapes of what appear to be birds, but upon closer inspection you see red scales and claws, an indication that there are small dragons flying above the volcanic crater. You notice some small white rabbits jumping around the edge of the volcano, seemingly unaffected by the intense heat. Go Back
