This is just me formally applying to host Season Soul Here is some info about it: drmmo.proboards.com/thread/528/season-soulTL;DR- Your soul is housed in another object, giving your body more durability and the ability to avoid death. However if the item your soul is housed in is destroyed, you die. The item your soul is housed in will be a powerful object that can be strengthened and weakened depending on what happens, as is a powerful plot point. I may or may not have some more RPG-esque fight scenes with NPCs as "boss" fights as a way for you guys to progress the story through, however the main focus will still be on killing/trials/plot/ect. Applications will look like so: -image- Name: SHSL Title: Description: Soul Item (can be PM'd to me): Soul Item abilities (can be PM'd to me) (This will get hella detailed as I will need defensive, offensive, and hiding abilities for your item):

Seeing as I already covered the trial aspect, I'll comment on the fighting and murdering aspect.
Having tried fighting in my season, it took quite a lot of time and allowed people to do things like call for help which just got more people caught up in the fight and made the fight drag out even longer. My suggestion is to put some time limit on fighting turns, or just a time limit in general. This way it'll prevent every fight from becoming a brawl with every available player in it.
I think the whole buffing system through murders could also lead to some problems. If people gain too much of an advantage through buffing their soul item, it could lead to some major imbalances in the game. I have no suggestions on this, seeing as I don't know how the buffing will work, but I think it'd be a good idea to make something to allow weaker players to stand a chance against stronger players, if only in the endgame.
That's all for me. Good luck on your season.

I will definitely take what you say about fighting into consideration.
Buffs though won't be too big of an issue. Nothing is too extreme outside of RPG exclusive skills (I s2g I will incorporate these somewhere ' ^'), as buffs are generally more just "oh hey, another SHSL ability/free item I don't need to hunt for). Most are also balanced so if something is used to murder, you will generally know which character used it. I'll post an example of what a character with multiple buffs would have access to later.
