Backstory: As an elderly man who values justice and is a firm believer of the view that the ends justify the means, the Reverend has been leading a little-known vigilante group for many years now comprised of willing orphans he has adopted that wish to join his cause. Despite that, however, he has rarely entered any combat himself - he's always taken the position of commander over direct fighter, but that makes his presence on the battlefield even more bizarre. He left only a single note to the children he adopted before he left, telling them "Don't waste time worrying over me. I've left to do my duty, and I'll be back before you know it. In return I expect you all to continue your work as well. Dinner's in the fridge, tell Orion not to wander off again." Reason for Entering the War: The small Church representation in the current war worries him, so the Reverend has entered to ensure the Grail falls only into worthy hands. |

Name: Arvis Loptous Lineage: Normal Human Starting Mana (Mana Cap): 30 (60) Backstory: After returning from a family BBQ, the "Great Sage Arvis" realised that hunting children for sacrifices probably isn't something a normal, unpossessed son would do. But hey, everyone has a "phase" like that so Arvis was willing to let it slide. That was, until this absolute demon of a son decided to kill his own mother, who was also his aunt (long story). Arvis had enough: He went to his son to demand he cease his evil actions, but was met only with a "k". Arvis eventually realised the totally not shady cultist named Manfroy had manipulated him, and decided to atone for his sin by faking his death and leaving that dysfunctional mess behind so that he could join the Grail War and try to start over. Maybe this time with less BBQ. Reason for joining the War: To create a world free of prejudice and bring back his wife/sister. |

After that leader died, Hazama inherited everything from him. There was no explanation of where he was found. He has no family name either. He seems like a nice enough man, though. He is a combat specialist in the church, acknowledged as being able to join the Burial Agency. He's highly educated as well, having graduated valedictorian from the Church run St. Ignacio. Name: Yoshikage Matou Lineage: Matou Family Starting Mana (Mana Cap Chosen): 100 (100) Backstory: He is Yoshikage Matou. He is 33 years old. His house is in the north-eastern part of Fuyuki, where all the villas are and he is not married. He works as an employee of the Fuyuki Department Store, and gets home every day 8 pm at the latest. He doesn't smoke, but he drinks occasionally. He's in bed by 11 pm, and makes sure he gets 8 hours of sleep no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about 20 minutes of stretches before going to bed, he usually has no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, he wakes up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. He was told there were no issues at his latest check-up. He's simply a person who wants to live a very quiet life. He takes care not to trouble himself with any enemies, like winning or losing, that would cause him to lose sleep at night. That's how he deals with society, and he knows that is what brings him happiness. Although, if he were to get into a fight, he wouldn't lose to anyone. Name: Yuriko Sano Lineage: Mage Association Starting Mana (Mana Cap Chosen): 15 (30) Backstory:
A relatively well known former orphan that ended up joining the mage's association. Due to the unique manner she casts magic she's become quite renowned due to having to use her blood to cast magic, but having it be more potent than normal as a result. The drawbacks to this are quite obvious, and she's always been very careful not to overuse her magic as a result of this face.
Having grown up as a sort of outcast, and due to being an orphan, she's grown up to be rather strong willed. Seeking to mark her own mark on the world she's trained to become stronger and stronger. Her reckless abandon got her in trouble a lot growing up, but through this she learned restraint and control. Now a young adult, she seeks to join the war to finally strive further towards her dream of greatness. Reason for Entering the War: To become a legend herself. |

 Name: Julius Loptous Lineage: Normal Human Starting Mana (Mana Cap Chosen): 45 (60) Backstory: As the heir to his family, Julius believed it was best for him to expand magical prowess through any means... even if it's sacrificing children most of the time. He had a doting father, Arvis, the head of the Loptous clan, who allowed him and his sister Julia to do anything they wanted! However, Julius really disliked his mother(-aunt). Like any spoiled son, he killed her on a whim. His crybaby dad couldn't handle the loss and apparently died in a mysterious accident, making Julius the new clan head! For whatever reasons, his sister ran away after that, leaving him alone with the family adviser, Manfroy. It was then that he was suggested to participate in the Holy Grail War to fulfill his ambitions. Naturally, he decided to go. Reason for Entering the War: To create the Loptyrian Empire and subjugate the world that belongs rightfully to him. |

Name: Tybalt Guillame Lineage: Church Starting Mana (Mana Cap): 30 (60) Backstory: There are some people in the Church who are more tolerant of heretics and wrongdoers, seeing them as just in need of reeducation in the ways of what is right and wrong. Then, there are people like Tybalt. While some would say he's an intolerant fanatic, he just thinks of himself as a 'humble defender of the faith' simply believing that if you're a heretic, then you're just cannon fodder and a means to an end, and that if the Church says something, then it's obviously correct no matter what. Reason for joining the war: To protect the grail from those who wish to go against the Church |

He's been drawn back in due to being selected as a master. He likes good drink and gambling.
