Your friendly neighborhood mastermind X has arrived! Miss me? Of course you did! Because now I can explain the despairingly hopeless situation all of you are in right now!

All of you are currently trapped in this building with absolutely no way out. Despairing yet? It gets worse. ONE of you is planning to MURDER everyone else in this building!


Gasp! This can't be true! All of you are good friends right?!


Well, if one of you is going to do it, the rest of you might as well join in, am I right?

WHOEVER COMMITS A SUCCESSFUL MURDER AND IS FOUND INNOCENT IN TRIAL WILL BE ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE BUILDING.


Hehehehehe... I can't wait to see what happens next...

-The screen suddenly blanks out, then displays what looks like a stage. On the stage, Komaeda is standing on the stage and appears to be carefully examining a piano. The screen goes back to X-


If nobody dies by the end of the day, a certain person will be executed instead.

-Suddenly you see the screen on your ElectroID flash on. A recording is playing. The screen shows Komaeda standing on what looks like the stage of the 2nd floor music room-


What? Seriously? You want me to do that???


I think it'd be unfair if Sova were blamed for this murder just because she has bad luck. So please make me the culprit instead.


Do you even know what you're getting yourself into? You're the only one here who hasn't done anything wrong, and you just want to throw it all away to save one person?


Haha... I guess that's just how strong my hope is. It should be a good experience for building everyone else's hopes as well.


Well... fine. I'll make you the culprit and plant some evidence. Just keep in mind your role in this game.


Of course, X. I haven't let everyone down so far and I hope to keep it that way.

-The recording pauses and the screen shifts suddenly to a dimly lit room. A ring of person-sized capsules are built into the floor, and you can just barely make out the unconscious forms of Yukari and Komaeda in two of the capsules. The screen shifts again and X comes back-

Sheesh, it's so hard to get a decent string of murders around here.

Well, whatever. I have some things to take care of right now, so bye bye.

-X mutters angrily about some game interference thing-

So I've been thinking about why there haven't been any decent murders so far, and I think I know why now. It's because there's just not enough of a reward for murder! That's why I'm going to open a new room every time a trial successfully concludes, and this rule will even apply to the last trial!


Be grateful you brats! I'm giving you another clue as to where and who you are!

On a completely related note, you guys just don't seem to understand WHY you need to kill each other...


It's because a CERTAIN SOMEONE in your group wants to KILL YOU ALL. Am I making myself clear? This is for your own good! If all of you don't find and kill this person, you'll all die!


Do we have an understanding? Good! Now go out there and murder!

So I've been waiting for a while now, but nobody has murdered yet. This is all extremely disappointing. It seems like the incentives I've given simply haven't been enough.


Alright, it's time to get serious. I'm going to make a few rule changes.

1. The supermarket camera can no longer be tampered with.

2. Items obtained from the supermarket will automatically be returned after 30 minutes of use (they will disappear from your inventory). This applies to all existing items as well.

3. The armory will be restocked.

4. All cameras will be repaired along with the surveillance room.

5. If there is no murder within 24 hours, you will no longer be allowed to escape after a successful murder.


And here I was thinking that rewarding people for murdering was a good thing. Well, live and learn I guess. X is out.
