The poor quality of the streets seems to have gotten worse as you head deeper in. People are overflowing onto the streets, wearing ragged clothes and looking dirtier than the garbage in the cans nearby. Eventually you reach a gate built into a large wall, where guards wearing uniforms with symbols of some of the 10 families stand between the inner and outer metropolis. Peeking outside, you can see an enormous line of people in much of the same condition as in this area stretching out from the gate all the way into the horizon.
