The length of the receptionist counter is equal to the diameter of the dome ceiling, allowing the counter to span the entire lobby. Despite the dimensions of the counter, there are never more than four staff members available at a time. A bulletin board is clearly visible from behind the counter. Pegs are used to hang key cards for individual rooms. Although the cards have bold numbers to indicate their respective room, they require an electronic activation through one of the four computers located at the receptionist counter.
