An expanse of square tiles, colored like a checkerboard in a light and dark brown palette, reaches each rounded wall of the elliptical cafe. Booths covered in a jet black fabric follow the curves of the cafe’s borders. The cash register is neighbored by two display cases. To the left of the cash register, there is an assortment of fondue-wrapped tiered cakes are organized by the color of fondue. The right display shelf holds vats of gelato. The gelato, in contrast to the cakes, are in no particular order. Aimed towards children, a toy train track has been glued several meters high. The train’s course runs around the walls of the dining area to the kitchen and around again.
