Hello everyone, I have decided that in this thread I will lay out season progression for any more stuff I do and let you guys decide which Seasons you would like to see earlier or later.
Season Progression for Chronicles of Eternity
Blood Shift /--------------->Azure Amaranthe
| /
Blood Revenge-----------E ---------------->Emerald Enlightenment
| \
Blood Confrontation \--------------->Zircon Zephyros
Let me explain this flow chart a little bit and what it means. We start at Blood Shift and having finished that season we have moved to the Blood Revenge Spot. The tangents off of the Blood Seasons are events before Blood Revenge that are tied to it in some way but do not actually have any direct affect on the plot of Season Blood Revenge. As such it is possible to go straight through Blood Shift, Revenge, and Confrontation before touching the other three. On the flip side of that coin, we can do the other three before even beginning Blood Revenge. Having gotten the creative itch I schemed this whole plot up so if I decide to do this many seasons then we can do all of these. Should general opinion be that people don't want to play these seasons or they specifically don't want to do Zircon or something, then I will simply post the story behind it in my character files or some other fitting location.
I post this now because I am currently making the individual stories behind Blood Revenge and the Three side stories(which are collectively known as the Chronicles of Finality). As such I may post a couple of season ideas and allow people to vote on which they prefer first. Azure, Emerald, and Zircon will be spin offs of the Blood Rules and have their own unique mechanics, but all three Blood Seasons will follow the basis of Blood weapons and Blood Shifts, but may have a slightly altered names and effects.
As I finish up the specifics of individual games and such I will post thoughts about them here and more explanations about how they will work.
Plot Introductions
I have finished the base plot of the remaining games and shall post the events of the plot leading up to the actual games here. I will also do some explaining about the difference between the Blood Seasons and the other three.
Blood Revenge
All the participants in the game are living normal lives. Some may have participated in the FoE, others may have never even heard of Blood weapons and the power of Eternity. One thing is for certain and that is that fate is not finished with these individuals just yet. All of them remember answering the door to a strange man in a lab coat who gave them a charming smile before attacking them and knocking them out. The players awaken in a strange building surrounded by old and new faces. Even stranger still are the items they woke up with, an item that glitters like a gemstone yet seems to carry a weight unlike any other. Their questions would be answered soon with the reappearance of the man in the lab coat, but their despair would only have just begun.
Blood Revenge is the season that continues the main plot of the Blood Seasons and unlike the other three side seasons, it retains all the basics of Blood Shift. A new revival system that works differently then before along with a counter part to the Blood Weapons. The Stein Weapons serve as the major focal point of Blood Revenge and are fundamentally the same as Blood Weapons. Specifics will be announced if this season is chosen as the next season hosted by myself.
Blood Confrontation
The only thing I can say is that in this season players will have to choose between having a Blood Weapon or a Stein Weapon. You will follow the rules associated with said weapon. Any more will be in spoiler territory for Blood Revenge. This season will only happen after Blood Revenge has happened.
Azure Amaranthine
All the players live their own lives. They only similarity is that while they pass near a strange little town they are involved in accidents and are grievously injured. They are rushed to a small hospital surrounded by rumors to be treated. The players awaken in a strange fort, but not everything is as it seems. Reality seems to bend and break around them as they begin to explore and try to find where they are. A strange playful being seems to be their guide in this strange place, but what they really are is unknown as its form changes based the mood swings it seems to suffer. Questions rush through the player's minds, where are we? How did we get here? How do I get out?...Can I get out...?
This is the first of the alternate seasons that I showed to the players involving some unique mechanics such as a revival system. It does not have blood or stein weapons but has some other things to help characters be unique. WARNING: This game is going to be much harder to win than any of the others. The rules combined with the nature of the world and your "guide" make this game ridiculously difficult. Play this one at your own risk. You have been warned.
Emerald Enlightenment
Wealth calls to everyone, and whispers abound of a excavated mine that is ridden with gems and emeralds. The players, having heard the rumors, search for the mine and arrive at its location. There is some worry about the safety of their venture as the mine abandoned mine is located in an area that has recently begun to have huge earthquakes on a regular basis. After all, why would such riches be abandoned in a mine? The players, either individually or as a group, overcome their fears and descend into the mine. They descend deeper and just as they pass through the threshold, the earth shudders and quakes. The entrance collapses behind them, locking them in the mine. With no other choice they search the mine looking for an alternate way out. They find that the rumors are true and emeralds line many of the walls, but something else is down here. Remnants of some kind of structure remain, what it means is lost on our treasure hunters. Will they find an exit to the mine? Whatever is down here... doesn't seem to want to see anybody leave.
This is another of the alternate seasons besides the Blood Seasons. This season is based in the mine described above and its mastermind character is a little more mysterious than some of the others. The specifics of alternate rules in this season are still in development and may be revealed at a later date.
Zircon Zephyros
Rumors surround a series of plains and forests. People say that those trying to enter the plains find themselves mysterious turned around before they can get more than a mile in and those that don't get turned around...are never heard from again. A veritable Bermuda Triangle on land. The players, chasing after those lost or the secrets of the plains, arrive and make to enter the mysterious plains. They succeed and manage to enter the golden plains, but something is strange. They had heard that something prevents people from coming in, but whatever it is seems to be keeping them in. Worse yet, the forests and plains seem to have guns scattered liberally throughout. Something strange happened here and its aftereffects are still laying around. The question is whether our explorers will learn the secrets of the plains and escape before everyone ends up lost to the plains, riddled with bullets.
This is another of the alternate seasons besides the Blood Seasons. This season is based in a very open area and primarily revolves around the use of guns, hunting your prey in the open. Like emerald, the mastermind is pretty mysterious compared to the others. Specific rules involving the guns and their use will be revealed at a later date.
Notes about the three Alternate Seasons
The three seasons Azure, Emerald, and Zircon are completely optional and will only be held if players request them. The events that occur in those three season are a part of the same universe as Blood Shift, Revenge, and Confrontation. They do tie in with the main story but are unnecessary to solve any of the mysteries in the other seasons. The alternate seasons may be played in any order as requested by the players. If the general consensus is that people do not want to play a specific alternate season then I will simply post the whole back story for it later on.
Side Stories
Alright, let me explain what these are real quick. Basically I got really freaking bored and wrote about some of the events that occurred in the world of Blood Shift and the other seasons. While each of these has some minor potential to become their own season, I do not plan to make any of them into one. They are simply short stories I wrote that help expand on the universe and tell some other tragic stories. However... I will not be handing these out for free. Due to their very nature I cannot reveal them as they elaborate heavily on some of the concepts in the main season games. If the players manage to perform certain tasks and those issues are removed I will post the story for you all. So here are the current side stories and their requirements to unlock.
Sapphire Symphony
Requirement: Uncover the truth about M.A.K.E.
Ruby Redemption
Requirement: Follow in the steps of Vengeance and show no mercy.
Jet Generation
Requirement: Taste the poison of eternity... and suffer eternally
