So yea I had this idea bouncing around in my head for awhile and decided to spit it out here. Inspired by Puella Magi Madoka Magica (because Rebellion Story blueray is out and I have it on the brain) and Season Bloodshift
I more or less ditched my other season completely because I don't have the willpower to make the complex plot I wanted/needed for it and it moved pretty far away from the purpose of the MMGs. This one is closer to home but still has a fun twist.
/throws revised idea out there

Season Soul
The purpose behind this season is the same as normal, pass two trials without getting caught, or solve the mystery.
However the gimmick with this season is that every player has their soul separate from their body, letting them live on even if the body is fatally wounded.
So how do you kill someone who can survive fatal wounds?
Well, each person would have their soul housed in some object of their choosing. This item could be anything from a small trinket on their person, or a giant statue, is what you need to destroy to kill the player. Souls items will very greatly as they could be a small gem you can hide anywhere, or something large that you can use to defend yourself in an emergency. However all items will be more frail than a normal item of its size/use (IE: A Soul Sword would only be able to block a few hits or stab a few times before beginning to crack, and a Soul Statue would be more like glass than stone)
This season will have revivals after each trial for those who were killed by normal means, however players who have their soul destroyed will not be able to revive.
Trials will occur for both regular murders and soul murders.
Regular murders offer minimal punishment to the killer but also have no affect on winning, while soul murders will result in death (normal) for the killer, but will add towards the killers win count if successful.
Fighting would also be present in my season, which is why regular murders can and (almost assuredly will) happen.
This season is similar to bloodshift in regards to the casual attitude towards murder. However with Soul Items being present it also adds in a bit of the "I want to play I better be careful" aspect.
I would probably also be offering semi OP Soul/SHSL Abilities much like bloodshift.

V2 REVISIONS
I have more thoughts on this so revised ideas
-Soul is separate from your body in an item of your choosing
-Knocking someone out increases the defensive capabilities of their Soul Item, preventing simple "knockout, loot, kill" wins. Certain buffs/items can bypass this but those are EXTREMELY rare and hard to get.
-Killing someone makes their soul gem invincible to being destroyed, but you can still move it around to screw with the person you killed (you can even carry it around if you want.) Soul items are still semi sentient so this could very well end up getting you caught.
-Soul Items can only be destroyed using certain means (special items in the building this will take place for example, or your own Soul Item. These are fairly common). Soul Items can be weakened to the point anything can kill them though (MANY means of accomplishing this).
-Killing a player normally will net you rewards/buffs (mainly towards buffing your soul item or progressing the game if you are all stuck), making them very helpful to attempt in the long run. Getting caught can give you some nerfs.
-Dying through normal means will nerf you somewhat. Execution deaths nerf more-so.
-Soul Murders would give a large buff to whoever killed (but none of you would know who it is) and would progress the plot. This makes anyone who succeeds in one soul murder extremely dangerous and likely to win (game doesn't end if someone wins with this method).
-Fighting will be extremely common in this season, as people will fight tooth and nail to protect their Soul Item. Fighting works much like it did in S4, with me taking you both into a private chat and having you message me your actions.
-Everyone will receive average SHSL abilities, but they will also receive Soul abilities based on their soul item. These abilities can be strengthened or weakened based on what you do or find in-game. Soul items start with one perk and either a means of being hidden or boost to its durability. Soul buffing actions or items can either net you more perks, or buff up your soul item itself
EX: Say I am Noiz (Click it) my title is SHSL Hacker and my Soul Item is an UsagiModoki Cube (Click4Pic). My SHSL ability would be being good with computer and other technology, giving them more info with computer puzzle and possibly a chance to automatically unlock stuff. My Soul Item however would provide me with a perk of allowing me to view the room the cube is in. The cube's means of hiding itself would be that I have duplicate decoy cubes on my person. Should I power up my Soul Item, my cubes will get more powers such as being able to send out electric shocks, letting me view multiple rooms at once, giving the decoy cubes more durability, all the way up to being able to defend themselves or myself.
IF CONFUSED ABOUT ANYTHING JUST ASK.The purpose behind this season is the same as normal, pass two trials without getting caught, or solve the mystery.
