You see Xeres on the floor at the bottom of the stairs that lead to the third floor.
His neck is twisted in an awkward direction, it looks to be broken.

Noire checks over his body
"Multiple bruises over his elbow, arms, legs, back and head two broken finger, right pinky and left index.
His neck is snapped, you can't tell if it was due to falling down the stairs or prior.
He appears to still have his room key on him, nothing more."
