Milestone Achievements
This thread is for expanded discussion on a Milestone achievement system for future MMG games. Essentially there would be site-wide declared milestones for doing certain things a set number of times and once you reach those you are awarded a trophy. This would be to provide players incentives to follow multiple paths in various MMG games instead of just the one the one that leads to the hosts trophy.
As I see it there several potential milestones we can track for players. I think it is fun to name them after Arcanas. As a note I see each of these effectively being one trophy per milestone. So even if you have hosted 10 games, you don't have four different trophies under The World Milestone, and instead just have the highest tier trophy.
Masterminds: The World Milestones: Milestones for how many games someone has hosted.
Tiers: 1 Game, 2 Games, 3 Games, and 5 Games. Raises fairly quickly as hosting a game is no simple or quick task.
Murderers: The Devil Milestones: Milestones for the number of times the person has been a murderer, whether they got away with it or not.
Tiers: 1, 3, 5, 10. Goes fairly high since it does not require someone to be successful and a person could reasonably raise this by one every game.
Victims: The Hanged Man Milestones: Milestones for the number of times the person has been killed.
Tiers: 1, 3, 5, 10. Goes fairly high since this doesn't require almost any effort on the person involved.
Murder Getaways: The Magician Milestones: Milestones for the number of times a person is the murderer AND gets away with it.
Tiers: 1, 2, 3, 4. New trophy for each success as this is going to be very difficult in most cases.
Survivors: The Hierophant Milestones: Milestones for the number of times a person reaches the end of a season alive.
Tiers: 1, 3, 5, 7. Raises at average speed as this isn't horrendously difficult, but isn't a guarantee each game.
Detectives: Judgement Milestones: Milestones for participating in trials and successfully pinning the culprit
Tiers: 10, 20, 30, 40. Can happen upwards of 5 times per any one game so it raises slowly.
