"Breaking news! We've just had a report that what seems to be a large invisible wall has suddenly appeared around Avrak City's recently built amusement park! The park has been completely cut off from the outside world! Police have immediately formed a perimeter around the park, and are currently investigating the situation! From the initial reports, it seems like many people have been trapped inside the park! Umm... u-until the police release a statement, we'll try to provide our viewers with some background regarding the park!"



"Thank you, Kana. As all of you know, this amusement park was only built about a week ago, and is currently unnamed, but has garnered an immense following. Many people are obsessed with the park, visiting it during open hours every single day. We've had so many attempted break-ins lately that the mayor has dramatically increased security, leading to a rather strict park system."

"Visitors are required to carry their own visitor pass, allowing them access to the visitor center, where they are able to purchase tickets to rides. The staff have their own system, staff keys, giving them access to the ride controls, as well as key facilities to operate the park. Meanwhile, park mascots have been rapidly gaining attention, and have acquired their own system as well. Obtaining a mascot badge allows mascots to access a special building which houses all sorts of mascot-related items."

"This system is to ensure that nobody is able to access all park facilities at the same time, a countermeasure to prevent certain organizations from completely dominating the park. There have been many reports of corpses that have been located within the park, incidents most likely caused by serial killers loosely connected by a large criminal organization. Various explorers and thrill-seekers have also been spotted around the park, self-described as occult explorers attempting to unravel the mysteries surrounding it. To combat this, the mayor has assigned a number of private investigators working with the police force to ensure order."

"Serial killers belonging to a large criminal organization are very skilled liars, and have the ability to lie using testament bullets in trial. Private investigators are under the protection of the police, and have the ability to become invincible during the investigation phase. Additionally, anyone seen conducting suspicious actions during the investigation phase can be apprehended on the spot. Occult explorers are extremely adept at delving into unstable ruins, and thus have gained the ability to move around very quietly, and are unlikely to be noticed unless directly observed. What does any of this mean? I'll leave that to our viewers to figure out."

"Oh, it seems we have a small update on the situation. A few famous individuals have also been reported to be trapped inside the amusement park. I guess I don't have to explain this one, everyone should know who these famous people are. Well, back to you, Kana."

Applications

In your application to Season Carnival, please include the following:

Your character's name
An image or description of your character
Your character's position within the amusement park (Visitor, Staff, or Mascot)
A talent your character has

In addition, please PM the following to the mastermind:

Your desired role (Serial Killer, Private Investigator, Occult Explorer, or Normal Citizen)
Your character's motivation for joining the organization behind your desired role

If you want to know more about the organization behind each role, you may PM the mastermind.

Your character's motivation will determine the probability that your character obtains the role. There will be up to an 80% chance your character joins a specific role depending on how strong their motivations are. You may provide a motivation for joining multiple roles if you don't feel like joining one particular role (i.e. if X failed to join the police to accomplish his goals, his next option would be to turn to crime... etc).

After all roles have been determined, you will receive a PM containing your role as well as several role-specific inquiries. After you have received this PM, please send another PM to the mastermind with your answers to these inquiries.

UPDATE: Applications will close on March 3rd 2018 at midnight (or before the mastermind becomes unavailable). Inquiries will be sent afterwards, and must be answered before the game begins.

Rumiho sits around in her empty cafe, wondering where the customers were. After a few hours with nary a soul, she finally got bothered enough to go see what was happening outside. The park was surprisingly empty. If she didn't know better, she would have thought the park closed. She found a panicking guy in a cat suit and learned of the invisible wall from him. Despite the ridiculous claim it did not seem like he was lying, so she headed for a side entrance to see for herself.
