Falren Castle - Death of Edgar Allen Poe

"I am Lord Aristus Falren, ruler of the Falren clan and of all vampires in the world. Several of my advisors and subjects have expressed sympathy for all of you pathetic humans, and want to ensure that no vampire, myself included, was involved in the death of this human."

"It seems like some of you humans want to get to the bottom of who committed this murder as well, so for now, I shall mediate in this discussion. Figure out who murdered the human, what happens afterwards I won't bother with."

"It's quite strange, you humans aren't discussing this murder at all. Could it be...? Perhaps, you humans actually don't know who committed the murder! Well then, allow me to present a theory!"

"This murder was committed by ghosts! Yes, there have been a few ghosts wandering around the castle! I believe they are the madman-like person (Petelgeuse) and some strangely clothed female (Hidematsu). These ghosts have been trying to steal weapons from the armory, and have intruded in several rooms in the past. It's likely that they also have completely no regard for human life and simply killed this poor human because they felt like it! They could have very easily stolen a spear from the armory, located the human, and stabbed them to death, then fled the scene before anyone could notice! That is my take on this murder."



"It's true, we've been having many security breaches all across the castle, just yesterday, two people tried to steal weapons from the armory, and they fit the exact description Gerrenth mentioned. I found it strange they could get into the armory while it was locked, but if they're ghosts, this makes perfect sense. I concur that these two are very suspicious."

Nice theory, but I counter it.

The motive presented would not apply to ghosts, as they should be free to leave at any point (as they entered here on their own accord I can only assume? After all, they can enter the armory). Therefor, as we have been presented with the motive "Kill to escape", it's less likely that the ghosts have done it unless we can pinpoint a murder motive.

"Hahaha! Surely, you jest! Ghosts have no need for motives, they're already dead! Dying clearly relieves you from needing motives to kill!"

Wait huh

Hmm, I wish someone ate ANY of my pies back at the mansion. Did anyone? It's horrible evidence, but I will promise one thing. I never once baked a single Apple Pie in this castle. I also never brought any pies with me at all, as I'm sure ANY of you would have smelled it or it would have been crushed during the whole vampire attack that I fought off several vampires during in the village.




Me threatening Edgar is a mere joke, it's one of two things.

The murderer baked an apple pie to frame me.
Edgar himself baked pies and the murderer killed him while he held one.

Edgar claimed several times to want to seek forgiveness by making pies to me..

"Actually I heard someone saw Yuno covered in blood shortly after the murder. But I will let them testify since they didn't leave much details. Also you do have a motive in that you strongly dislike the late Mr. Poe after he destroyed your pies."

Correct, I was indeed covered in blood, this was however very long after the murder, also whoever claimed this would need to recall that none of the blood was fresh, but rather old. This is because I was digging through the corpses in the trapdoor under the statue after lighting a path with a candle, I am still covered in blood to now. This was, however, very long after the murder.

"Hahahaha! Of course, I was just testing you humans! The silence was getting a little worrying, that's all. And of course, the ghosts could not have committed this murder, our investigation shows that no weapons are missing from the armory, seems like our guard captain did a great job preventing theft~"

"I would also like to add that Yuno's behavior is very suspicious. Just recently, she lying on the floor in the kitchen in a position that would make one assume she was killed. Along with a pie on her face and blood everywhere. She was probably the source of the first scream. The one who shouted for people to get into the kitchen was me in case anyone cared.

"Poe's spirt of sorts was also there having followed me after telling me where the kitchen was so I can figure out his message. Along with one of the soldiers who came shortly after I shouted. As I went to check to see if Yuno died, she immediately hit me in the face with a frying pan and grazed me with a knife. I have no idea what happened next since I ended up dazed, but everyone was gone once my vision returned. Again, this is not good character testimony for her although I can't say she killed Poe for sure yet. After all, we all made similar thoughts in regards to the late Ms. Hidematsu."

I mean hey, I was in a panic. I'm sorry that I grazed you, but the fact that I didn't stay behind and full out KILL you proves that I'm not out here to murderize you all, if anything...


I was attacked earlier today in the kitchen and awoke quite a long time after, they didn't do anything but pie me though. It took everyone so long to find me, that when I felt someone grabbing my wrist, I immediately attacked you with the closest object, a frying pan, then followed up with my knife. What can I say? There's a killer on the loose..

This is in no way relevant to the murder.
