Rising
There will be a drowning REGARDLESS of whether or not a murder actually occurred. The Season will include at least 5 Main Drownings. There is no way to avoid these. At the bare minimum....Five players will die.
The Escape: Atop the Island, at the Pinnacle is a method to escape the Island...However, it cannot be controlled. It will automatically leave once Three People have arrived at the pinnacle. It can carry more than three, so anyone who arrives prior to or simultaneously as the third may join The Escape. Those who come later will be trapped on the Island as the Ocean swallows it whole.
Reaching the Pinnacle
The Climber: Ascend through all six Drowning Gates and Reach the Pinnacle.
The Traitor: Murder another Player, Survive the Drowning, and Access the Libra Spire. The Spire is a direct path to the Pinnacle. Only Murderers can Open the door to the Spire.

Welcome to the rules for Season Waters Rising! Here the regular mechanics of the game and how to play will be explained. Without further ado, let us dive in.
BASIC RULES
Movement

Water Rising MECHANICS
Phases of SWR
The Calm Before the Storm::Prologue
The opening act will likely consist of the entire first session of play in Waters Rising. The rules of the opening act are that all actions except those that involve attacking other players are allowed. This phase is essentially a short period of respite for people to enter the map and figure things out before things really get going. The phase will be used to provide a basic tutorial of how trials and the game will proceed.
Waters Rising - Pre Murder
This phase will be the standard phase during Waters Rising. This phase has no inhibitors on actions and players may do what they want. This phase ends after a body has been discovered. The announcement will trigger either when 3 people discover the body with their own eyes, murderer included. During this phase players are locked to the current area of the island. If there is no murder and the Water Rises enough, this phase will also end and The Drowning will begin.
Waters Rising - Post Murder
This phase is the exact same as the other Standard Phase except for one thing, murder is forbidden. Violence allowed, but murder is a no-no. This phase ends when the Water Rises and activates The Drowning. Essentially after a set amount of time passes and the water reaches a specific height.
The Drowning(Trial Phase)
Once the Waters Rise to a certain point they will activate The Drowning System and all players* will be required to move to The Climb's Entrance. This will be the point where the sealed door leading to the next area of the island waits. Upon reaching their all players will have to chain themselves to a trial stand. The chains will only unlock after the players have come to a majority vote and vote down one player. At that point, all players except that specific player's chains will unlock and the door to the next area will open. At that point the unchained may ascend into the climb, fleeing the rising waters.

The Drowning Mechanics
There are no special tools to use during The Drowning. It is a discussion about who to sacrifice to climb higher. If players refuse to vote, then none of the chains will unseal and all present will drown. Feel free to use the drowning to execute the murderous...Doing so may be important to ensuring your own escape.

Waters Rise: You are trapped on an island and cannot find escape. The Ocean is steadily swallowing up the island and the waters rise up. You have no choice but to climb or die. However, the path up the island is blocked by mysterious doors. Opening them will be necessary to escape the waters. Work quickly and remember. The Waters Rise.
The Drowning: Each of the sealed doors requires a sacrifice to be opened. A single person given to the ocean will unlock the door. These doors do not care if the sacrifice is an innocent or murderous, just that the Ocean gets its fill. There will ALWAYS be a sacrifice.
The Climb: The Island is made up of a series of plateaus, almost like a tiered cake, and the only way up is sealed behind the doors. At the Islands highest point, the Pinnacle, awaits a method to escape the waters below. The Climb refers to ascending through all the sealed doors and surviving the Drownings to reach the pinnacle.

ECLIPSE TIME
Loss Conditions
There are no Victory Conditions in Waters Rising. Your sole goal, regardless of how, is to Survive.
The Weight: Be Murdered by another Player. Do not Drown.

The Sacrifice: Be voted down in the Drowning. Drown as the others leave you to the Ocean's Wrath.
The Betrayed: Survive the Drownings, Reach the Pinnacle, and Find The Escape already gone.
The Salty: Drown in the Ocean without reaching the Pinnacle nor being voted down.
