Murdimals Conclusion
The game had gone exactly not how the Lion had expected. Having pulled everyone in and trying to get them all to murder each other had gone about as well as trying to put on a suit 20 times your size. It just didn't work. Lion had gotten antsy, he could feel the key pulsing around for-um-est but didn't know exactly why or where. He fell back into his old habit when stressed, binge eating.
Because Lion, in reality, was a previous inhabitant of the forum before the Forum had living creatures. Lion's true identity was a bug, a flaw in the code, and while living as numbers and code he had enjoyed a carefree life, devouring threads that came too close. Unfortunately, his life of ease changed as the forum seemed to act against him, the intruduction of walls, of safety posts, which preventing him from eating. Being officially named a bug and given the name REB by those on the forum he became furious. He was no insect! However, none could hear his words and any who could ignored them. His wrath steadily grew and grew as he starved in the Forum, when suddenly opportunity struck.
A unique item, a kind of key, crashed into the forum and transformed it into a physical word. A world REB fully enjoyed for some time before taking the key and using it to make the world more enjoyable for him. Slowly though his twisted mind thought of how he could use the key for vengeance. He planned out his murder game whilst evading the two who came looking for the key. However, things started going wrong just before the game.
REB, worried that he might somehow lose the key which had taken the shape of an Arcana Card, decided to make it a part of himself and eat it. Unfortunately, his body was unable to handle the strain and exploded, the key forged him a new body, the one of Lion. However, he only had a fragment of the key and minimal powers which he mainly used to render himself invulnerable. The remaining fragments were scattered across the forum's code and Reb had no idea how to locate them. The game was so close to beginning that he didn't really have time too anyway, so he started it with what he had.
The fits of violence had been thrilling, but REB had not enjoyed the game constantly worrying about the bits of the key lost to him. He could feel as if those he had kidnapped were slowly finding a way out. But he couldn't risk doing anything, if he lost the remainder of the key he would be powerless.
His patience cost him as Sea located a fragment of the key, granting him enough power to sidestep Lion's own invulnerability. Whilst the creatures of the land overhead struggled to overcome the trials. The Eel searched and constructed an elaborate murder machine to catch the Lion off guard and kill him. After all, C knew with his abilities he could guarantee the contraption's successful execution. It took a long time, a time that was almost lost as Sova grew near to navigating the forum's code to an escape route, which coincidentally led into the Starless city, where Itriot waited. Sova failed in the final moments and lost themselves to the forum as C executed his plan.
A taunt drawn into the ground, a hidden bomb floating in the sea, a catapult, and a fishbowl. Lion dove down at the taunt to eradicate the area but was stunned long enough by a flying fishbowl to the head that he landed next to the bomb which was timed to detonate precisely then. The bomb destroyed Lion completely, his own defenses useless against Sea's prepared bomb.
As Lion died, his control over the forum shattered and the central piece of the key, locked in his chest returned, summoning forth its many parts. As it summoned them, the changes to the forum were reverted and its occupants returned to their own world. However...
The Key remains somewhere within the forum....
In the real world, everyone awakens in front of their computers, feeling alright, if tired. The exclusion being Sova, who wakes up feeling like their head got run over by a truck, but besides that is perfectly fine. A short role call on skype confirms everyone as alive and well.
Admin Bear: "Everyone back to normal?"
-A series of yes's respond as everyone confirms they are no longer animals.-
? ? ?: "Are you back to normal as well Eclipse?"
Eclipse: "I was a bear before, so nothing really changed. Still a bear now."
? ? ?: ""
Eclipse: "O___O"
? ? ?: "O_____O"
-And the forum was back to normal-
Elsewhere...
? ? ?: "Pfffthahaha....."
-A deep, powerful voice let out a quiet chortle, beneath him a portal looked down upon a massive area of nature. The explosion from one of the sectors slowly fading away as the waves rippled out.-
Itriot: "Did you see something amusing my king?"
-The Starless king did not raise his head as he responded but just continued watching as the for-um-est steadily disintegrated into numbers-
The Starless King: "Yes, one of the funnier moments of my rule, although still not quite worth outrageous laughter."
-The king drummed his fingers on one side of his throne and asked the question he already knew the answer too-
The Starless King: "Any news on the key?"
-A drop of sweat rolled down Itriot's forehead, something the king missed due to his gaze being concentrated elsewhere-
Itriot: "We have been unable to locate it, however we did trace it to a specific building in the city. Just one Room in fact, but its turning into another Paper Factory Incident. I shall clean it up as none else could my king."
-The king finished watching the game come to its close, its players vanishing one by one. He blinked once before asking another question he already knew the answer too-
The Starless King: "And what of your assailant?"
Itriot: "We...could not find anything my king, the attack came as if from nowhere and none of the reported lords nearby claim to have seen or heard anything else. None are likely to have been capable or willing enough to make such a stunt. Should I continue investigating my lord?"
The Starless King: "No, You nor the others will be able to turn up anything. I'll keep watch on the situation myself, you go back to doing your job. Also, make sure you alert Bian of that too. Dismissed!"
-Itriot gave a long and low bow as he slinked backwards from the room, its massive door closing shut on its own. The Starless king once again examined the code of the forum now all that was visible on his screen.-
The Starless King: "They were certainly interesting... More enjoyable to watch than some of the other Rooms ongoing. I do believe I shall invite them back for another bout in the future. Until then....I'll hold onto this."
-His hand extended over the screen and light could be seen pouring out from between the numbers until a single shining object was in his hand. A card reading "22: Admin"-
-Then, sitting on its back was a lone Rhinoceros beetle. The original form of Reb, still attached tightly to the key having been pulled along with it.-
The Starless King: "Tenacious you are little one. Perhaps I'll let you keep this and work alongside Itriot, I have a funny feeling the two of you would get along."
-In an instant, both Reb and the card vanished in a flash of light as the King shifted in his throne and looked back down into a now clear portal.-
The Starless King: "Now, who will entertain me next....?"
-To Be Continued-
