Murdimals Pregame

It's another lovely day inside, where the sun doesn't shine. It was just another day on the forum, people mindlessly chatting away about their lives. A couple masterminds making maps and games, some students complaining about homework, the administrator ranting about the forum provider. A normal day on MMG. Or so you thought.


Someone pipes up in the chat, asking who had put that new board on the front page. Immediately the administrator bellowed asking about what this was and rushed off to the scene. Caught in your curiosity you followed after, refreshing the forums main page only to find a new board.


Season Murdimals 

Around the same time you do, you imagine the admin saw the board as a wall of almost profanity flies into the chat about disrespect and rules and more of that TL;DR stuff. Wasn't often something super strange and interesting happened on the forum, so you decide to dig a little deeper and see if you can have some fun.


Clicking on the board, you find yourself on a page almost like the Password Required page when you try to access that secret plot board hidden during seasons. However, instead of asking for a password it is asking you a question and giving you a field with which to fill in your response.


"What is your Spirit Animal?"


With a thoughts like oooooooh and eh why not, you decide to keep on digging. After some thought you decide on an answer and put it in rapidly as the admins rant appears to be ending. If you wait any longer the admin might actually shut up long enough to remove the board. You look at your answer, smile and nod, and press the enter key waiting, hopeful for something fun.


The page loads for a moment, spinning circles of doom appearing as you ponder what might happen. The loading continues and with a resounding finality, the blue bear error screen shows up with the bear mauling a server. Guess the admin was working faster than normal today. You sigh and proceed to facedesk as you regret spending so long deciding on your answer to the question.


You stay there for a moment, when suddenly you feel something grab your shoulders and before you can react beyond a surprised yelp, yank you forwards. You get a face full of keyboard before everything goes black.


...Some Time Later...


With a dull ache in your head, you feel yourself waking up. Did you stay up to long on the forum last night, ugh, you don't feel so good. As you try to stumble to your feet, you realize you are lying on a field of grass... And you feel.... different.


You glance downwards to learn the strange truth.


You have turned into an animal!

You quickly recover from the panic(unless you are a mantis shrimp or something and are trying to process 16 new colors) and pull yourself up to as close as a rest position as you can get. Resting you take a look around you and see numerous other animals starting to shake and wake from a dreary sleep. You even here some splashing from a nearby pond as something under the water jolts into wakefulness.

Suddenly you remember, the Murdimals board and the grasp from earlier, that had to be the cause... But why? You casually shrug off that question as you realize you clicked on something mixed with the word Murder on a murder mystery forum. You'll probably have to kill the others here and get away with it. Or solve the mystery. Hopefully whoever caused this had a mystery to be solved and this wasn't just a murder party.

You hear the sound of the ground shifting as something very heavy moves and turn to look at what appears to be a massive brown bear waking up. You wander towards it, possibly to get the first shot it, otherwise to befriend it as its a whole lot bigger than you. As you draw near it lets out a rather annoyed sounding roar before coming to the whole animal realization. You open your mouth to speak but you find yourself unable to talk...

"Cacaw!"
"Grrrr!"
"Raawwwrrr!"
"Meow?"
-Insert eel sounds-
-insert your noise here-

It appears everyone came to the same realization at the same time. Everyone continues attempting to yell at one another with little to no success. This continues for a couple minutes before the bear lets out another loud roar and slams its paw against the ground bringing about an effective silence. Suddenly, a white screen appears floating in the air in front of the bear, you recognize it immediately.

The Skype Screen.

The bear experimentally taps his foot a couple more times, the screen appearing and minimizing each tap. You tap on the ground quickly as well and find a screen of your own appear in front of you. Huh, nifty. A message appears shortly afterwards to all the animals with screens.

"Ok, Everubody Rolecall"

You look up to see the bear sitting trying to touch the floating screen with its claws with minimal success. As you prepare to respond a massive pillar of rainbow light smashes down from the sky in the center of the clearing, accompanied by a massive roaring laugh.

MUAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAA

"WELCOME MY NEW PETS!"

Roars the massive humanoid shaped being, with the exception of its lion-like head. Dressed up like some kind of superhero with rainbow wings extending from his back, the laugh doesn't really match with the beast's face. You feel distinctly unimpressed.

"TIME FOR YOU ALL TO SUFFER! THERE WILL BE NO ESCAPE, NO DELAY, NO HAPPINESS!"

You see the others glancing at once another before starting to  casually send pms to each other through skype. You consider joining them. 

"HEY! DON'T IGNORE ME!"

You start ignoring the lions screams to converse with the bear through air skype. You quickly realize it is the admin of the forum and that he is as confused as you are. Excellent. You don't have time to figure out who is who before the lion starts roaring again.

"I....SAID....DON'T....IGGGGNNNNNOOOOOOORRRRRREEEEEE MMEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!"

You feel a compulsive urge to duck and do so as the lion poses and a massive rainbow beam fires out of his chest, flying over everyone's heads and blasting a hole in a mountain off in the distance. Welp, crazy and powerful, fun.

-Deep breaths-
"As....I....Was....SAYING! YOU ALL, WILL BE KILLING EACH OTHER FOR MY AMUSEMENT! FIRST TO T-"

Suddenly, another sound breaks through his speak, a sound almost like the creaking of a door opening. The Rainbow Lion's eyes grow wide for an instant before he moves in the blink of an eye. You feel a sudden pressure as you are grabbed and tossed under his arm with all the other animals.

"****, ****, ****, I thought they said they were leaving and not coming back. OK YOU LOT, I'LL GET YOU ALL MURDERING LATER, FOR NOW, WE HIDE!"

A sparkle of his wings and a rainbow portal opens in the ground, which he tosses you all in......
