Here you find a large circular room where an enormous staircase leads up to a grand set of double doors flanked on either side by a balcony. The floor here is pristine and reflective, and the room appears to have been made for some sort of dancing. The ceiling of this room is incredibly high, extending at least 100 meters upward. A few sets of doors all around the room lead off in different directions.

The double doors at the top of the staircase are now open. You can see a pitch black void on the other side.

One of the tiles here has been moved aside, and a new passage leads down somewhere.

-You see a figure dressed in white holding an umbrella walking down the stairs to greet you-

"Welcome, one and all to my game, Quadric Contention! Please, make yourselves at home, for I have prepared a grand stage for all of you! Now first, allow me to explain what is at stake in this game."

"You see, I have recently received some disturbing information. It seems that..."

-dramatic pause-

"... The God of Fate has fallen. Yes, shocking, I know. This would mean that there is now an empty seat on the upper council of the major gods, and this seat must be filled immediately. But, how? If only there was a convenient game to decide which god might be worthy of filling the empty seat on the upper god council..."

-Cranaskous grins at you-

"But not to fret, because I've thought of this ahead of time! All of you will be competing with one another to take the empty seat on the upper god council and become a god who rules over the multiverse! Now, I shall explain the rules for victory."

"This facility has four zones within it. Each zone has a maximum vacancy of 10 entities. Whenever a god kills another god in a zone, that god will receive one Aether Shard. A god will only receive an Aether Shard if it was the first god they killed in that zone. Killing additional gods in the same zone won't grant more Aether Shards. In order to ascend to the upper god council, you must gather 4 Aether Shards and bring them here where they will unlock the doorway you see at the top of the stairs. Please note that Aether Shards cannot be stolen once they have been acquired, even if you kill the god who has them, so your progress will never go backward."

"Since killing in the rest zone has no benefit, all of you will be invulnerable to physical damage here. Now, please make good use of your time and gather the Aether Shards quickly. An empty seat on the upper god council must be filled as soon as possible after all! Good luck to all of you, and I will see you later!"
