Setting
A nice tropical island where you can have fun under the sun!
Plot
Welcome to Paradise, a tropical island where you can spend your days soaking under the sun. There are many things to do: play volleyball, swim, spend the day at the natural mountain spring, get refreshing beverages at the tiki bar, enjoy wonderful shows, karaoke, and much more! However, the players have woken up in a room with no recollection of anything prior to waking up, besides who they are. Even stranger, they all have woken up with strange powers: strength, magic, levitation, mind-reading, etc. However, once the doors open and they are allowed to roam the now abandoned island, it doesn't seem too bad. Until the mastermind makes an announcement. There is a player hut for each player. Vital information for each player is unlocked by either getting away with murder or solving a murder. However, the powers come with a catch. They have some side-effects depending on the power chosen. Other than that, you are free to enjoy your stay in Paradise!
Base Rules
I will be hosting under base MMG rules.
Character Creation
Choose whatever you want. But, choose someone whose powers have not been given to them yet (because plot). However, when you make your application, you can say what power you most desire, which I will base your power off of. I would prefer you to make your applications early since there is individual plot.
Bullets
~Bullets are used in trials to help the progression of the trial and discern truth from lies~
Inquisition Bullets – When used, you must post in blue. Inquisition bullets are either questions directed towards the players and NPCs, or theories provoking a response. These can be used in trial to gather information from players and NPCs. Questions in blue can be responded to with either Testament Bullets or Verbal Bullets. Theories in blue must be responded to with Verbal Bullets. If a theory has not been denied by a verbal bullet by the end of the trial, that theory will be used for the conclusion. If multiple theories have not been denied, a vote will be held. The vote does not necessarily have to include all the suspects mentioned in the theories.
Verbal Bullets – When used, you must post in red. Verbal bullets are pieces of truth a player can gather from investigations on a world. Verbal bullets can be used in any trial on the world they came from, although some may become invalidated after a given period of time (such as after the trial they’re related to expires). In addition, you may create your own verbal bullets with evidence you have found, although this requires approval from the mastermind.
Flume Bullets – When used, you must post in green. Flume Bullets are pieces of truth a player has gathered from outside of the world the trial is taking place on. Flume Bullets function as Verbal Bullets, but have a higher level of priority, meaning they can be used to deny Verbal Bullets. Flume Bullets can only be found, and cannot be created by players.
Testament Bullets – When used, you must post in purple. Testament Bullets are truth statements that can be made by both players and NPCs. You may use these bullets when stating the truth outside of evidence that has been found, and in response to Inquisition Bullets. However, while every innocent player and NPC must state the truth when using Testament Bullets, the culprit and their accomplice(s) may state lies using Testament Bullets. Testament Bullets cannot be found, and can only be created by players (for example, when giving alibis).
Contradiction Bullets - When used, you must post in orange. If two Testament Bullets contradict, then you can use a Contradiction Bullet in place of an Inquisition Bullet. If your Contradiction Bullet can manage to explain a valid theory despite what the player claims with their Testament Bullet, that Testament Bullet will be destroyed.
Powers/Abilities
You will have a power that you request. However, they have side-effects depending on the ability you choose.
Player Hut
Each player will have a hut assigned to them at the beginning of the game. Only they will be given the key to it. Inside, there is a computer that requires a specific code along with the user's fingerprint in order to access. This will display plot and vital information to the player. If you manage to murder someone and get away with it, you will be given another piece of information on you computer. If the murderer is caught in a trial, all innocent players will receive information on their computer. During each investigation phase, all of the player towers will be unlocked. This prevents you from hiding vital information inside. Of course, they will become lockable again once the trial is over.
Weight
One thing I will be changing this season is that not only can you only carry up to 5 weight, you must also tell me how you carry it/where you put it.
