I've been excitedly working on this for a few days now, so I'd like to reapply for a board.
CR3 is the finale to my Chaos Series trilogy.
Players create characters from various background (freedom of literally anything with any backstory imaginable) who find themselves discovering a Whole New World. What awaits them in this world, however, is nothing anybody could have ever expected.
Players play inside a large building that they are contained within for quarantine. Players are labeled as Distortions, beings that should not exist, and a threat to the very laws of the universe. There is only one way to leave quarantine, which is explained in more detail once the game begins.
Trials make a return, however a player would need to pass 2 out of 3 trials without being voted in order to utilize that method of escape, allowing a lot of room for error and experimentation. Trials, like previous games, give a lot of information about the super powers in play, so performing murder is strongly not recommended and extremely difficult.
Players are led and instructed by three large robots, the creators of the universe who create Gods, Life, Land, and Law. These beings serve as the Mastermind of the season, although a minion helper does appear extremely early on to join the players in quarantine and assist them.
As with every other game, players obtain Super Powers each and every day with conditions to unlock them. When unlocking a power for the first time, players get to choose if the Super Power is more passive (such as resisting heat or turning into a rock) or more aggressive (such as breathing fire or making a thunder storm). Each day, players will receive 2 Super Powers they can choose from.
Players can awaken a power as well, however the tasks to do this are very long. Awakening powers gives both the passive and aggressive version.
Movement: Movement, examinations, communication, etc all follow the standard DRMMO format.
Chaos Series combat takes more emphasis on Reaction Based Combat, where player reactions and expectations take priority due to the amount of super power offense presented in the series.
Distortion Powers take place of SHSL/God Powers in previous games, which are passive powers that make the player much more a threat then they were previously.
Being seen using your power still is punished, but much less severe.
Timezone is Eastern, will probably host 4:00-12:00 like last time
If you want more specific rules:
DO NOT BE OVERWHELMED BY THE AMOUNT OF FEATURES, THIS GAME TAKES TIME AND FEATURES WILL BUILD UPON THEMSELVES AS TIME GOES ON. TAKE THE GAME AT A PACE AND LEARN THE FEATURES AS YOU GO, THIS IS SET AS A GUIDELINE FOR ALL FEATURES (besides one that will have a guide within the game) FOR YOUR CONVEINENCE. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, YOU MAY ASK ME, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED A CHAOTIC SERIES GAME BEFORE. RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND CAN BE INFLUENCED BY CHARACTER ABILITIES.
Chaotic Revolution is the third and final game of the Chaotic Trilogy, players fight through the most difficult challenge yet as the game raises to heights unimaginable.
Players can apply as Godlike beings, this simply means players who's past involve supernatural or powerful powers. A player's past can be anything at all from saving the world to even destroying it, as long as they are strong enough to survive the game. You can also be from any world or any time. You can apply as a nobody, but it is strongly not recommended.
Players are asked for their background upon applying, or you can simply leave it as "generic". For some reason or another, every player has created/found a passage to a Whole New World, which is when the game begins.
Players are introduced as Distortions, beings who emit a supernatural powerful "virus" to the very law of the universe and threaten it's very disruption. It is for this reason that players are emprisoned in Quaranteen.
Players will be given 2 Character Passive Powers after creating a character, one being their Distortion Power and the other being their Player Ability. Players are encouraged to keep these powers a secret, as they provide players a huge advantage over others
Due to the instability of the world around them, mixed with their godlike selves, players will have the option to awaken one of two Super Powers each and every day. Requirements will be given for the power the player picks.
If a player is in the middle of completing a power, they will have to abandon the power to unlock 2 new options. However, if the player wishes to continue to persue the power, they may do so.
When a player picks one of the two powers, the other will be lost forever.
When a player unlocks a power, they will get to choose if the Power awakens as a passive or aggressive power. Passive powers work like supernatural buffs or forms, while aggressive powers are more focused on creating/shifting the world rather then themselves.
When a player unlocks their power, they can check the requirements to awaken the power, which unlocks the other version of it. These can be done at any time, and usually take a long time to develop.
A player who decides to apply as a normal person will get weak or no powers.
Combat is done on a Reaction Priority basis, players send actions and predictions and both receive a wall explaining how it went. There is no rush since both actions go through together, sending huge walls will probably means that the actions will stop partway through since the rest will no longer be possible, so keep walls to a minimum.
Predicting what your opponent will do provides a major advantage, and so will surprising them with super powers and using them in new and unique ways. However, you can not predict too much at a time as this is simply illogical.
Trials make a return in this season, players will have 24 hours to investigate a crime scene and be sent into the Chaos Courtroom to debate on the killer. If a killer is discovered in 2 crimes, they will be executed from the game.
If a player successfully gets away with 2 crimes, they will achieve victory.
When a player is killed, they will revive at midnight. However, they will lose a single power that they had if the killer is able to identify one of their powers as their distortion grows weaker. They will also be unable to use their Distortion Power for the first day of revival.
Players can interact with the Mascot NPC at anytime for help, to RP with, or even to ask favors for. It is strongly recommmended to socialize as much as you can in the later phases of the game when "something occurs".
Knowledge is power. Knowing the plot of the game is essential to victory at the latest phases of the game, this means players may wish to spread information when necessary. While powers can cheat and allow easy access to plot information, all players will have access to the plot documents in one way or another.
Legendary Weapons make a return, all Legendary Weapons are easy to locate, as there is one for each player on the board. However, Legendary Weapons will start off useless. Solving how to upgrade them is essential for unlocking their potential to Legendary Form, which grants the player an extremely useful ability. Players can exchange Legendary Weapons, but they can not possess more then one. A player can also not hoard them, if a player abandons a Legendary Weapon, they will not be able to reclaim it unless they persuade the Mascot, trade for it with another player (by using their own possessed weapon), etc.
Example of a legendary weapon: Giant Flyswatter, nothing special besides just being a big flyswatter. However, with enough work, this weapon can turn into the legendary Flyswatter of Chaos, a reoccuring weapon from previous games with unique powers.
Throughout the world, players will find money. This is for an entire feature that will be explained later in the game that can prove extremely useful. This feature will not be as useless as purchasing buildings.
Unlike the previous seasons, there is no time limit. Players can take their time and enjoy the game and build up their character.
