Character Stories

As most of you know, many of the people on the forum write their own novel/short story/fan fiction things using the MMG community as character bases. 

EX: Sea made a character based on Kleara in his book who is named "Kleara Cakebread."

So why are you here again? Well, to make my decisions for me, because decisions are hard.

CHARACTER STORIES :: ECLIPSE EDITION

I am wanting to start writing my own novel esque story and would like to include characters based on people on MMG, cause its fun. Problem is, I am having a hard time deciding what kind of world to put it in. I don't want to shove my way into someone else's style universe like Indrid's gods and Sea's rift walker stuff. SO GET READY TO CHOOSE FOR ME! DO AS I COMMAND MINIONS! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

Anyway. The minigame here is simple. Post a world style and if you were dropped into that world, what your name would be and what makes you unique. This can be an ability, personality quirk, or a combination of things. It really depends on the world. I am looking for inspiration on both world and characters although once I decide Ill actually go and ask everyone who wants in what they want to be.

Unique Trait: Carries a strange contraption on his back that seems to transform into things with the power of STEAMPUNK! Forms include a bed and a bush.

Unique Trait: Spins to win(I dunno, this is hard, why do you think I'm making you all do it?)

Most of the characters I am presenting are original characters rather than variations of myself.

1. Universe Style: Steampunk
Character: Delphi Delta
Unique Trait: She is an automaton that has a similar naievté to that of an elementary-schooler. Delphi has two older twin brothers, although she is the only one in her series capable of converting electrons into other atom particles. Delphi, having used to live in a desolate testing facility, has scarlet hair that reaches to her thighs and a small frame.

2. Universe Style: Mystery
Character: Sakae "Nise" Nishio
Unique Trait: As suggested by her nickname, Sakae is a person whose gender is easily mistaken. Sakae looks like a male, dresses like a male, and sounds like a male, but Sakae is indeed female. She has an urge to blog events from her daily life, but her lack of self-confidence holds back that urge. Although she may suggest her own ideas on occasion, rather than a detective, she can be better described as a suspect who was just at the wrong place, at the wrong time.

3. Universe Style: Fantasy
Character: Hā Myorya
Unique Trait: He claims to be sixteen, but he is actually fourteen. His hair is a light shade between red and a soft pink and is a bit unkempt. His main style of fighting focuses on finishing confrontations in as little time as possible; in this style, he sacrifices a lot of stamina in doing large-scale magic, mostly relating to fire. He had joined five guilds, three of which were mage guilds and the other two being adventurer guilds, but was released from all five either due to the large collateral damage in all of his missions or his tendency to challenge other guild members every other day. Because of his record, other guilds are hesitant to accept him, causing Hā to employ himself as a mercenary. In addition, Hā genuinely believes he can sustain himself by living off of bread and buns.

4. Universe Style: Sports
Character: Xol Artz
Unique Trait: Although his high-school isn't renowned for its sport teams, Xol is determined to be the manager of the school's soccer team. He is unable to recall why he wanted to join, so he often answers that he joined out of curiosity or pure whim. While Xol is familiar with the basic rules and plays of soccer, he cannot play it on a competitive level as his only redeeming quality is his speed. Xol's eyesight is beyond average, but he still fails in accuracy for any sport he joins.

5. Universe Style: Supernatural
Character: Ebony Ignis
Unique Trait: Ebony was born blind, but as compensation, her hearing was astute, even to the point of recognizing the voices of spirits. As she was unable to see them, Ebony was always unaware and her family had past it off as her flourishing imagination. She had one day wandered into her front yard and soon enough, the streets. She was shoved out of the way of an incoming vehicle, which drove away afterwards, but in her steed, her nieghbor, a boy a bit older than her, had died. In his last moment alive, although he had been too injured to speak, Ebony was able to understand the voice of his spirit; the boy, realizing this, had decided to hand over Ebony his own eyes. Since the incident, Ebony had also received the ability to see spirits. With her ability to listen to the concerns of those who have passed, Ebony decides to guide as many lost souls as she can because of the life that was given to her. After the accident, though, it seemed that all traces of the person who saved her had vanished. The family was nowhere to be found and not a single memory remained besides Ebony's own recollection of the hit-and-run. Part of her hopes that in aiding spirits, she will one day learn the name of the person that saved her, so she can "return what was originally his."

6. Universe Style: Pirates
Character: Aizakku Tetik
Unique Trait: Although he works as an accountant, Aizakku had always believed he was destined to be a pirate, riding the roaring waves. He was an avid student, grasping marine life from journal entries and other first-hand documents he was able to retrieve. This ethic, unfortunately, was unable to compensate for being sea-sick; Aizakku wasn't able to stand five minutes on a ship in the ocean without getting severely nauseous. His solution to this obstacle, as he called it, was to simply create a ship that did not have to travel by the sea and its continuous staggering motion. He became determined to construct an airship to set his dreams into flight, but he lacked the finance to purchase the materials and the hands to do the labor, putting aside the issue of the lack of technology.

Universe Style: Urban Fantasy

Character: Charlie

Unique Trait: A kid who uses yo-yos as weapons and can project magic through them.

Basically all just variations on my main character (the first one). They all are wealthy, powerful, willing to kill anyone, and have something to do (study/control) with space time.

Universe: Modern/Normal

Name: Jay Braavs

Trait: Wealthy headmaster of a group of assassins. Studies multi-dimensional theory in his spare time.

Universe: Steampunk

Name: Jacob Bravici (goes by "Jay" to those who know him well)

Trait: Wealthy landlord who has a following of deadly automatons. Also studies multi-dimensional physics.

Universe: Fantasy

Name: Jay Bravolialis
Trait: A strong leader who doesn't think twice about killing for personal gain. Has powers over space-time and can manipulate it if need be. Of course, if it isn't OP, he can be almost like a god of space-time if need be.

Universe Style: Medieval-Fantasy
Character: Akorr Ysan
Unique Trait: A wandering nomad who collects stories written in a bundle of notebooks he carries inside a huge backpack. He documents all sorts of stories, fairy tales, history, legends, etc and he is able to use an ability to make the stories he's collected come to life in peculiar ways as he retells them. (i.e. a story about a fearful boy hiding from a serial killer would make himself invisible) He has collected many stories about catastrophes across the world that could end an entire country, and bears the burden of keeping those stories hidden. He is willing to sacrifice anything for the sake of uncovering and documenting new stories. When he uses his ability he recites from a journal he is carrying, making his ability look like conventional magic and hiding its true nature.


Universe Style: Future-Fantasy
Character: C-Gamma
Unique Trait: A power-hungry psychopath completely obsessed with obtaining the most power they possibly can through any means necessary. Specializes in control and manipulation through knowledge of his enemies and their abilities. Uses any type of magic with extremely high proficiency and has immense knowledge of machinery to use technology to his advantage as well. Very high intellect and analytical power, and can be called a genius in all aspects of the word. Uses the alias 'C-Gamma' in lieu of his real name so that information on himself will be harder to find and cannot be used against him. Cares about nothing except increasing his own power and is willing to sacrifice a great deal for it. However, due to his distrust and passive attitude towards other people, he dislikes forming alliances and refuses help from others while pursuing power. He is also unwilling to sacrifice anything that he possesses, such as his lifespan, for the sake of obtaining power, claiming that it would only be pointlessly trading one type of power for another.

Gonna toss up some stuff from me in the genres I have seen thus far. Only doing individual styles instead of combos for now. Gotta build my groundwork for I go any farther. I'll add more as I come up with them and try to keep up with you guys.


Universe Style: Steampunk
Character: Spahyk Schwarz
Unique Trait: Spahyk is one of a clan of individuals known as the steam walkers, a group of nomadic mercenaries relying on steam powered pile bunkers on their arms and legs as well as a large steam jet-pack to fight in the air with extreme mobility. Spahyk Schwarz does not wish to serve others for mere money and has abandoned his people to find a new path, one preferably filled with some high flying aerobatic shenanigans. He has personally augmented his jetpack with large pair of gliders earning him his title, "Steam bat."

Universe Style: Mystery
Character: Verges Trauer
Unique Trait: Verges is a rather large solemn individual, defined by many scars and 3 prosthetic limbs. Outwardly he is mellow, somewhat cold in his treatment of others, but inside burns an ancient wrath. Caught in an incident much earlier he harbors an immense and uncontrollable rage which when sparked puts him on a path straight to bloody murder.

Universe Style: Pirates
Character: Sunsteel Flint
Unique Trait:The captain of a large crew of pirates, Flint travels the ocean searching for places to ransack and loot. He is known for his trademark steel twin axes which have their non-edged side laced with flint. A bottle o' rum and some flashy smashing of weapons gets his piratin' done. Joked to as using Flint's un Steel. Has a very regular personality, but has his entire crew act like super stereotypical pirates when raiding.

Universe Style: Steampunk
Character: Eshult Type-A
Unique Trait: An automaton built by a genius inventor, Eshult is self-repairing and made with the capacity for self-improvement and adaptation. Eshult was force to fight in many battles and gained enormous combat ability at the cost of almost being destroyed dozens of times. Then, when Eshult's self-improvement evolved his limited mental capacity into sentience, he rebelled against his creator and killed him. But with his creator gone, Eshult had lost all purpose to his existence. So he did the only thing he had been taught, and continued to seek out stronger opponents to fight. Those who have survived an encounter with Eshult describe him as a "Living Weapon" and shudder in fear at his infamous phrase "Upgrade in progress".

Universe Style: Steampunk
Character: Deravu Viklin
Unique Trait: A genius inventor who specializes in the creation of automatons and metal limbs. Deravu obsesses over knowledge and the collection of data, willing to risk his life in order to obtain more data to aid in his creations. He once dedicated himself to the ultimate project of creating a perfect automaton capable of surpassing humanity in every aspect. This experiment ended in failure when the automaton rebelled against his control and fatally wounded him. However, Deravu was able to quickly replace his wounded organs with experimental metal parts and put a stop to his imminent demise, and this process left him crippled and unable to walk without a cane. Afterwards, Deravu decided that he had aimed too high with his last experiment, and instead began working on perfecting the steam-powered artificial organs he had used to save himself. He lends assistance to the nearby town, providing services to create artificial steam-powered limbs in order to collect more data. Still he wonders about his lost creation, and has considered many times to try tracking it down and recapturing it to recover the data from the first experiment.

Universe Style- Possibly Steampunk Fantasy
Character- Name? I go by quite a few names but I guess you can call me Aki Kamiya~
Unique Trait?- Aki is a shapeshifter, but she usually retains a humanoid form to blend in with the crowds. She prefers to keep the fact that she can change forms hidden for the times necessary. An artist by profession, she dabbles in multiple forms of expression. Within the past few years, she had attempted to write a few dozen stories and songs, gave up on a few dozen stories and songs, tossed together a couple unusual automatons, turned automatons into bizarre art pieces, forgotten that she had given her automatons emotions or whatever proxy her magic had been able to create, watched automatons rampage around the neighborhood, quelled a rebellion of automatons, ignored prior experience and created more automatons, somehow managed to keep automatons under control acquired new assistants, attempted to create more cost effective assistants illusions with physical form, played with different types of illusions, tried to put on a play, got kicked out of a theater for accidentally hypnotizing the audience, tried developing her emotion manipulation so she had more control over it, refined the automatons somewhat, not realized she had been getting automaton parts from an underground market, been informed of the fact, fumbled her way out of the mess leaving quite a few who cant quite remember what happened that day, found a proper source of automaton parts, complained about the prices, tried to create parts on her own, discovered that it was really time consuming, attempted to create proper connections with society, possibly failed and created improper connections with the underground market instead, looked young enough to get freebies and loosen lips enough to get secrets from the elders, realized she actually managed to gain some influence, decided to keep her kitty form just for dealings with the underground, became somewhat of a communal pet for them, delved further into her research, disappeared from the world for some time, managed to give her illusions substance, realized she should have just created familiars, sent a familiar to go deal with life issues, watched it trip over air on the way out the door, stood around wondering whether she had gotten the incantation wrong, got worried and chased after it, got distracted by a pawn shop, somehow managed to find the familiar, found a food stand with cute decoration in her eyes anyway, discussed the nature of innovation over steam buns, realized it had gotten late, and ended up being the one to deal with those life issues she had been ignoring.

Steampunk Pirate Fantasy
Her dealings with the black market eventually caught up to her and she found herself having to escape for a while. There was far too much for her to resolve on her own, so instead she sought to disappear until the problems followed suit. Sadly, this meant that she could only bring some small automatons and a few sacks of supplies. Her connections got her a place on an odd pirate ship with filled with what seemed at once gentlemen and brutes. Their temperament was able to change at a moment's notice and at the start, she was confounded as to why. This, however, quickly changed when she considered them more as actors than actual pirates. Their actions suddenly made sense, to some degree, and it actually seemed amusing to join. She was not as skilled with blades as they, but she could probably ask them to teach. Her talents lay elsewhere as it was, with deception more to her style. What better way for an artist to fight than to have a thousand tricks up her sleeve?

Aki's current humanoid form is a red haired cat girl. Her hair shifts from flaming oranges to scheming purples and icy blues with her mood, sometimes of brighter shades and other times of darker. She could control this to hide in dark places, but it is usually unintended. She has a lean figure and looks fairly young, which she claims is perfect for fitting in small spaces and climbing about. Aki has general happy go lucky attitude and can be somewhat of an airhead. She tries to make notes if it is something especially important, though she is not the best judge on the matter of value. When she gets serious, she can go for extended periods with the bare minimum. This usually happens when she thinks up an interesting project and ends with her familiars dragging a kicking and screaming girl out to eat a proper meal. She is a master when it comes to learning new skills or expanding upon her old ones as she usually finds the need to improvise while working. Her childhood was spent in a bustling port city filled with travelers seeking to make their fortune. Every ship or passing caravan brought new ideas and creations from foreign lands, which in turn inspired Aki to take everything and create something greater.

Universe Style: Pirates
Character: Xilatyl "Pretty Boy" Tazras
Unique Trait: A tall and slender man with refined features, making him appear as a "pretty boy" of sorts, which is rather stark contrast for the life he has chosen. He is very laid back and appears lazy to others, he tries to avoid doing things as much as he can, and when hes given no choice, he will do them as quickly and efficiently as possible, cutting corners most of the time. He tends to speak in a lazily manner, somewhat slurred and his demeanor towards things is usually "Isn't it fine?" showing that he just doesn't want to deal with any of it. He joined a pirate crew because he thought it would be the easiest way to gain money while having more freedom than normal. However, by certain turns of events, he somehow ends up as the Quartermaster of the pirate crew, which meant a lot more work than he had hoped for. He's one of the more competent members of the crew, but also the most lazy, so most of the time he would choose not to do things himself and instead delegate them to others despite being able to do it better than them. In a fight, he is as skilled with blades as he is with firearms, but prefers not to partake in battle unless his life is in danger, usually staying back behind everything occurring. On top of all that, due to being the one with the most medical knowledge and experience meant that he would have to take on the role of doctor/surgeon aboard the ship whenever the need would arise. However, most were afraid of being treated by him since he would cut corners and do things in the quickest and most efficient way, which was the most painful most of the time.

(maybe could perhaps have some other crew member with basic medical knowledge as his assistant, being there to keep him in line when he does things lazily, and a person who doesnt care about the rank differences)

Universe Style: Fantasy Modern
Alias: The Thraxinator
Unique Trait: Basically a berserker and thief. Ridiculously strong and nigh on unstoppable strength wise. He is very agile and uses a shovel as his weapon. He knocks people out and steals their items. Somehow can carry as many items as he wants and has a vast supply of other tools to use if necessary.
