The Host, Me, will start the game by posting a simple scenario. Next, the players, you guys, will post what the PROTAGONIST or THE WORLD does. Unless otherwise a specific protagonist is provided by the host, the first player to post is considered the protagonist. The Host will reply with the effects of the action and the new state of affairs. Rinse and Repeat to construct our own little adventure. Now before we go on I have to specify some rules for the protagonist and world actions. A. No Action made by the protagonist or the world may harm or kill the protagonist. Only the host can declare injuries or death upon the protagonist. B. The "World" consists of the environment itself as well as all living beings upon it. Feel free to insert your own characters as a part of the world (As long as they are original or Marvel characters and even some Marvel ones may be rejected), however they can be harmed and/or killed by player actions. C. ANYONE can control the protagonists action per turn. If multiple people post the actions will be merged ASSUMING they do not contradict. If they contradict then the oldest actions get priority. D. Please be reasonable with actions and keep them within the ratings of the site. E. I reserve the right to reject any action and reverse to a state prior to it. Heroic Wolverine: Wendigo You stare at the burning cabin before you. It feels wrong to burn it down. But you can't let them find any evidence of you. Or at least any way they can know where you are going next. Who are they? You aren’t sure. You aren’t sure of anything except two different names and that someone messed with your head and your body. Your name is Logan. But you also go by Wolverine. And it is time for you to move on and find out what else life has for you in this frozen forest. Time to decideStory: Wendigo Protagonist: Logan aka Wolverine Powers: Adamantium Claws, accelerated healing factor, heightened senses Antagonists The antagonists are controlled by a different thread. No one in this thread besides the host may control the Antagonists. Please avoid dictating the backstory or origins of the Wendigo in general, however, this character is the only one completely off limits from control. If you want to learn more about these characters, have the protagonist interrogate world NPCs who may know. Upon player request, I will add additional information to the characters below as it is revealed. Antagonist: The Wendigo

The bitter cold shakes him from his reverie and Logan looks down at his feet where the cold is sinking in. Sunk into the snow all that can be seen are a old ratty looking pair of boots, soaking up the snow melting upon their surface. A similar chill invades his fingers as the snowfall touches his bare skin.
"Should have grabbed some thicker clothes before burning it. What a pain."
His fury at his forgetfulness and at the mysterious they for causing whatever was going on was shown in his snarl as he breathed out, his breath visible in the chilled air. With a last look at the cabin, he turned and headed into the woods at a steady gait, best to make the close footprints quickly so the snowfall had time to cover them. Into the darkness he went fleeing deeper into the woods and away from the crackling roar of the burning cabin.

Logan trudged on until he got to a cave he scouted out previously. He rests for a while and goes through his bag of rations to determine how long he could continue his trek. He then checks his map to see whether there was a suitable location to hide, or at least gather more supplies before he continued.

Logan quickly walked into the cave, glad that he at least managed to prepare something in advance. And glad that it isn't snowing or anything to hamper his movements as he trudged through the snow. Looking at his supplies, he found only four days worth of rations if he is careful about how much he consumes and some Canadian currency before taking out his map.
It is a long walk, he had chosen the middle of nowhere on purpose and is only moving on because it is bad idea to stay in one place for long, but there is a town with in a couple days walking distance from here. He will have to be careful to make sure no one can get read on him or at least not stay too long, but he can get much better clothes and a refill on supplies there. He should have enough to get that done. Time to decide

Logan quickened his pace to keep some manner of warmth and headed for the town. The first day was fairly uneventful, with the same landscape repeating for mile after mile. He encountered the occasional wild fauna which he eyed suspiciously, although it was unlikely that they had caught on already.

Logan kept on moving for almost an entire day. He doesn't know how exactly it works, but his body is able to go on for hours on end. He once found that he can stay awake for almost 24 hours working before he gets tired. It probably has to do with those guys in his nightmares (Memories?) who experimented on him. The ones who turned his bones into metal. Maybe even gave him the ability to heal rapidly, his heightened senses, and his claws.
In any case, Wolverine has a lot of stamina, but not enough to get him to the village before he collapsed. And he doesn't want to risk being out in the cold while he sleeps. He is gonna need a place to rest before he continues his journey... Time to decide

Spotting a hunting cabin, he smirked and thought of the irony of having burned down his own just to sleep in another. He slowly approached, trying to determine whether it was occupied. It should be easy enough to get in and would provide a relatively warm place to rest. As long as he was careful, there might also be supplies that the owners wouldn't miss.

After approaching the doorway and looking inside, he noticed that nobody was around, so he stepped inside and began searching for some supplies. A few minutes later, he noticed a young man returning from his hunt. He quickly hides behind the doorway, and the man enters the cabin and notices it has been ransacked. He quickly knocks the man unconscious with a swift blow to the back of the head, and he runs outside with the supplies he gathered.

Wolverine's mind may be a bit muddled, but he is sharp and knows how to handle himself in the wilderness. Knowing that he wouldn't make it to the town, he quickly began chopping branches off of trees nearby. He used the thicker ones to make a small base before piling up more sticks on that, creating a small lean-to. He then layered the top with a thick covering of leaves, watching as the snow was now gently piling on top of his lean-to. He settled down inside and tried to relax. Normally, he would build a fire, but he couldn't risk someone seeing the smoke. He shivered slightly as he tried to get some sleep. He had a long road ahead of him.

(Nova's post obviously was made unaware of the posts having Logan entering a cabin. But I think I can make it still work with that)
After Logan's brief adventure in the cabin, he ran as far as he could before making a place to sleep. He will have to check what he got in the morning. For now he should rest now. He knows at least he will need to visit the town to get better clothes. Eventually Logan wakes and his journey continues. Time to decide
As Wolverine slept...
The man that Logan knocks out wakes up. He immediately grabbed his rifle and tried to find the man who attacked him. But Logan was long gone by then. As he turned back to the cabin to see what was taken, he saw a terrible sight. A giant monster that was the same color as the snow. If it weren’t so close, it would blend in with the environment.
The man aimed his rifle and lost his hands in one swipe of the creature's claws.
Monster: "WENDIGO!"
The creature then grabbed and lifted the confused and hurt man. A few minutes later, it walked away with a full belly and bones and blood in the snow.
(This monster is the Antagonist of this arc. So you are not allowed to control its actions here. If you are interested in controlling it, send me an PM either here or on Skype and I will open an Antagonist thread)

The morning air was steeped with the scent of blood. Logan took it as his cue to dismantle his resting place and move on. He ran with few stops to rest or eat, attempting to escape the smell. Something abnormal accompanied the scent, although he was not sure what exactly. It vaguely reminded him of "them," but he was not completely sure. One way or the other, it appeared that something dangerous was upwind. This certainty fueled his steps, and a renewed awareness of his surroundings.

Logan noticed that the snow was starting to fall fairly quickly. On the one hand this means cold weather that he isn't wearing thick enough clothes for. On the other, it will help obscure his footprints from them and whatever created that scent of blood. Soon, Logan was able to find town. He should be safe for now. Animals don't tend to wander into town, and even if it was those guys who messed with him, his enhanced senses will alert him long before they get too close... Time to decide

Logan went to a general store to look for thicker clothing, preferably with a hood to hide his face. He kept his distance from the other that passed, wary of any spies that "they" might have left. This town was probably the first place that "they" would search after all, seeing how it was the closest. He finds a cheap room at an inn to get some proper rest and plan for his next destination. He thinks back on the previous days and remembers that he had ransacked a cabin. He checks what he had gotten to see whether it could prove useful. His next move was to find transportation into the city, or at least a place where would be easier to disappear. Then he gathered enough supplies to last him the next segment and perhaps a day or two more.
