The spire opens up into a long corridor. As you walk down the corridor, you see paintings hanging from the walls. The people in the paintings seem familiar, but you can't quite grasp from where you've seen them.

As you reach the end of the corridor, you see a table has been set up on a pavilion. A girl has collapsed at the table and blood is pooling underneath her. A large plaque hangs above the table, but it seems to have been smashed.
