1) About - The world is in the midst of a large number of natural disasters, and you are among the surviving handful. One person comes to you, though; and he promises survival, as well as a means of ending the disasters. So you've traveled, braving storms, quakes, and more, until you arrived with your companions. You found your destination in an abandoned underground tunnel. Almost like a sewer, except outfitted for living, instead of sewage. The one who has recruited you, however, returned to the surface to gather supplies on his own; and he's been gone for several hours now.
2) Rules - Standard. Weight = 5. Movement = 1 min.
-Note: Fights will apply as the standard Phase system. There will be a preparation sub-phase at the start of each phase. Players will not be able to perform actions or move during this sub-phase, but can swap one equipped item during this period. Also, fights will be conducted with shorter/simpler phases in mind.
-Exception: Ability Bullet system will be applied, with an add-on. Information is in PD12's MM page.
-Exception: Aggressive actions are locked during the First Floor, including killing. After a certain point, earlier floors will be locked. Certain measures have been taken to ensure that no player will be left behind. Plot is missable due to this though. Killing is also recommended early on, because of this; but it is not impossible in the late-game floors. Votes will be taken when a floor(s) is about to be locked. If the majority vote goes to waiting, a timer will be placed before they automatically move on. This timer will be set to either three hours or the rest of the day, depending on which is shorter and how close the end of the day is.
-Exception: To better support "protagonist" players, I will include a "Rumor" system. Information is in PD12's MM page. I will use a grid chart to keep track of this. After a certain period of time after a floor has been unlocked, I will also add an image of the map for players to this thread.
3) Character Creation - 1) Name [include source material, if applicable]. 2) Picture/Written Description. 3) Title. 4) A number from one to five.
Note: For powers, I am looking at play style first, then looking at the characters and titles afterward. If no play style info is provided, I will work with the characters as the baseline, then apply the title to narrow the specifications. I do not guarantee fitting abilities. I will try to make them useful and balanced though. If not either of those, then I'll... make them... interesting(?).
Note: For players I've not yet gotten accustomed to, I may need some info on your play style to determine what abilities you get. Any player can PM me and tell me how they operate though, as it helps narrow things down. You can PM my Skype (which is Pokedude12 and in the Off-Topic Chat) or on the forum. PMing me on Skype when I'm online will let me poke for more info though and should (in theory) help guide my power-making more than the other ways. PMing your play style is recommended, but not necessary.
4) Setting - The opening area is an underground sewer-like tunnel. However, there are a number of belongings here, each slightly damp, as with the rooms themselves. No one, save for the players, are here though; and in the distance, clouds approach. Despite the amount of rations found here, perhaps it's best to move on.
5) Special Considerations - See below:
-Two Skype chats will be made. One for season discussion, and another for info. Players can speak in the first, while they cannot in the second. The second may not see much use, depending on how I adapt to hosting.
-Note: The second chat (for universal info/updates) will include the start and end of trials, hosting periods, the opening and closing of floors, and other info that I see as relevant enough to go to all players (such as the use of ARs).
6) Host Times - See below:
-During School Breaks: 2PM-6PM. Central Time Zone (US).
-During School Semesters: [Mon-Wed: 8PM-10PM]. [Thurs-Sun: 2PM-6PM]. Central Time Zone (US)
-Note: Hosting times are subject to change. Exceptions may be made based on changes made to my schedules. Hosting may occur early or end later.
-Note: If these times are unacceptable to the player, I can look at altering hosting times to accommodate. The listed host times are a baseline for me to work with.
Due to the amount of consideration needed for character abilities, I ask for permission to open character applications early. In this case, I also ask for permission to open the board to begin placing map and other data in their respective threads.
