Season Azure Amaranth Conclusion
BAD END
The players investigate and move around the world they find themselves trapped in, unaware of what exactly their actions mean to their slowly maddening host. As the trial draws to a close and Sans and Zagi find themselves dead and unable to act, others rush to try and find a solution before whatever dark looming destruction hits them. The world is slowly being covered with Azure cracks as the memories that make up this place fade. With the actions of a final few, the strongest memories of Florain, the mastermind, are pulled from her and the corruption of the amaranth flower overwhelms her mind and she forgets who she is and who she ever was.
In a burst of instinct she shifts to where her desires lay. The falling apart memories of a safe room, in a place she once called home. Before her stands Flynn, someone special, who when they perished would flood Florain with a euphoria of feeling. Flynn doesn't even have time to think about it before chains shoot out from everywhere, grasping him and tearing him to shreds in a few mere moments. That instant, Florain is gone, all that is left is the chemical seeking energy. All across her mental landscape the world breaks down, her memories turning to nothing more than azure shards and all those still present find themselves falling infinitely as all manner of weapons, death, and destruction are hurled upon them indefinitely. Time fades from their minds and all their is after an eternity of pain, is pain. Or... perhaps.... a few still cling on.....? Their souls.... believing.... that one day... they will be freed from this torment.........
Meanwhile.... In the real world...
A man in a massive black cloak sits before a bed, atop it lies a beautiful woman, whose hair and veins shine an azure blue. Her eyes are closes and she does not move even an inch. Aeturnus, the eternal, sits and waits, unable to do anything more than pray as he glances over at the numerous other beds in the community patient room. Most were dead, but he was preserving their bodies in time with his abilities, hoping beyond hope, they would wake up. Next to him on his other side was a bed where one yet breathed. A man with blonde hair whose name was supposedly Flynn Scifo. Whatever was happening his comatose state might be the solution to this problem. Behind the cloaked man stands his secretary and partner, Alice also known as Amaranth, a being made from the Eternity Clockwork. She stands motionless and only the sound of a ticking clock permeates the room.
Suddenly... in another realm... the soul of Flynn is torn asunder....
Flynn's real eyes flash open as he lets out a ghastly scream. Aeturnus is at his side in an instant, but he is already quiet once more falling back down onto his bed, eyes full of death. Aeturnus bellows at his corpse to hold on, but to no avail. His words are heard only by the mechanical ears of his compatriot and another hiding outside, listening in. Aeturnus slowly sinks to his seat as he realizes that his hope is lost. These people will never wake again and he has lost his only lead on Finire's trail. He stands up abruptly cursing to himself as he commands Amaranth to follow him. He storms out leaving behind the numerous corpses and the one body of Florain to their fate. In his blind rage and sorrow as he storms down the stairs he fails to recognize the man who ascends past him.
Climbing up the stairs, Finire resists his urge to clock Aeturnus as he passes him. I can't beat him now he thinks to himself, not yet and I am here for another today. With his face concealed, climbing the stairs like any other doctor, he lets his revenge target walk away before arriving at the 12th floor, where he finds his friend waiting for him. A tall and muscular man, looking to be in his fifties, but still strong stands there in his police uniform. He waits by the door to the community patient room.
? ? ?: "Sir.... it looks like our hopes were for naught. The others could not save themselves. Aeturnus seems to care not for them now that they cannot give him information, but that is fine. We must move to take advantage of this opportunity. I... I will not let him have her."
Finire: "And he won't. Just like he won't have the lives of those lost here. We should come back after getting her to safety to get them proper burials. I don't think Aeturnus would give them that kindness."
The two enter the room and stand looking over those lost here and what they have left. Finire gently picks up Florain and cradles her in his arms. He looks over to the policeman.
Finire: "I can't imagine how this feels for you my friend. I never intended for these things to happen to those you cared for. If I had known I would have stayed well away. This battle has taken too many that are precious. I'm going to bury that eternal *******'s face in the dirt for what he has done."
? ? ?: "I don't blame you, you were a good friend to my ancestor and I am proud to help your cause as he once did. To depose an eternal king, he would be proud of me. Although the toughest task still lies ahead of us. And do not worry for my daughter and wife. We have all the time in the world to save them and I know you will do your best to bring them back from the darkness."
Finire: "Who would have thought that my old friends would help me even now, if in other forms. Well, its a different revolution, but I am glad to be fighting it alongside you. Are you ready for what we must do next? He won't just sit idly by while we try to remove Aeturnus."
Finire and the policeman walk to the emergency stairs, which the policeman unlocks and leads Finire, carrying the still body of Florain into. As they descend the policeman finally speaks once more after gazing at his daughter's still body.
? ? ?: "I will bury him a thousand feet down for what he has done and for what he may do. I swear it on my family, I swear it upon my friends, and I swear it upon my and my ancestor's name. I am Elliot, and I am a force of change that none can hope to stop. Not even Redemption can stand before Revolution."
And thus Finire and Elliot secretly left the hospital in a police car Elliot had prepared beforehand. As they drove off they saw Aeturnus flying overhead, back towards Time's Tower. There would come a day when all debts are paid and it would be soon. Finire would see to it....
