Amarande means Immortal.
What is the season about?
The season is over the basis that the “players” must seek the secret of immortality. The “players” are world renowned scientists, and the “mastermind” has gathered all these people down to help them find the last part of their scientific immortality. It’s going to be some scientific puzzles and some mind messing plot. Basically the “mastermind’s” old assistant, destroyed the completed chemical Formulae. The so called award would be to become the new “assistant”.
Rules: Standard DRMMO Rules:
• A one minute delay between moving rooms.
• The mass weight of objects to carry will be 5.
• Standard way of investigating, though I’d prefer in character investigation.
Character Creation:
The “players” will need to show me a picture of what they look like. Their Scientist SHSL – which affects an item they are given*. Their personality.
* As I don’t want to break my level 1 mastermind availabilities. Instead of the characters having an ability, they will have an item which is related to plot. The game will also be made so if there are AFK “Players” due to RL, other players not having these items will not affect game play. Basically, it will give characters “additional” plot which could give those characters clues to future puzzles, or explain what happened to “mastermind/master scientist” to make him find these characters. I want the “players” to have a balanced chance of “winning”, dying or “losing**”.
** This game has an alternative ending to just plain winning by plot, or winning by murder. Basically this is what happens when the plot is either misread, or people get lazy. Basically Ven gets to have some fun.
Setting:
The setting for this game will be a scientific laboratory. The basics, with some interesting perks…. I don’t really want to ruin it. But I want the “mastermind” to be a character the “players” get to discover.
Baseline of Seasons Story:
So the season will start with the “players” accepting there invitation to help the “mastermind” complete their chemical version of immortality. In the character sign ups the “Mastermind” will explain that after many years, he and his ex-assistant found the secret of immortality after using it on a mouse. Especially due to their short life spans. However, as the “mastermind” was going to release the “chemical formulae” to their boss, their ex-assistant ran away with the secret, leaving the “mastermind” a mash of a laboratory and trying to remember how he created it in the first place. So the offer is; “If you figure out the secret, you become the new assistant”.
The players will always set off with their item, which will unlock “extra” plot, or helpful tips. Because it’s a laboratory and the fact it’s going to be chemically fun, there will be puzzles. I will try to make them mildly difficult, but solvable. I don’t want them to be easy, but I don’t want them to be impossible.
Special Considerations:
Just to be able to post the sign ups nearly straight away of the season being accepted, as items the players have affect the plot. [Though I may also make the items and then just put them to specific players].
Times:
Okay due to being a university student, at the moment I will say that I will host 8/9pm to 1/2am GMT. This is the minimum. Depending on when this game is hosted will affect it slightly.
