Tertiary Fusion will follow the basic rules of murder mystery (if not familiar with the basic rules, read them here: drmmo.proboards.com/thread/931/murder-mystery-general-play) with the following changes.
Mutation Abilities
This is the power system in Tertiary Fusion. Due to the setting, all characters will acquire some sort of mutation and thus generate a special ability. Each mutation ability will have a trigger of some kind. If you don't know what the trigger is for your mutation ability, you will not be able to use it. It is also impossible to accidentally trigger your mutation ability, the trigger must be used intentionally. ALL mutation abilities are linked to Stamina in some way, more on that in the next section. Furthermore, ALL mutation abilities can evolve. Evolution makes abilities stronger, but the requirements for evolutions may vary depending on the ability.
Stamina System
Each player will start with 100 points of Stamina. The maximum limit for Stamina is 100, restoring stamina will not restore past this point. Each action a player does which requires a large amount of effort (i.e. pushing large objects, fighting other players, running, etc) will consume stamina. Stamina will not affect your ability to act normally, but if you run out of stamina, you may become unable to perform strenuous activities, and may even become vulnerable to murder. Stamina can be restored by resting (either purposely resting or going afk), or by consuming food. If a player does not eat food, their maximum stamina will be reduced by 25% for each day they have not eaten, for up to 4 days (on the 4th day your maximum stamina will become 0). Note that using your mutation ability may also consume stamina.
Community Trials
With each murder, the NPC Aelori will begin a community trial as an attempt to restore the community's trust (this is her personality). However, Aelori will not actively participate in a trial, unless there is extremely little participation otherwise. 1 hour will be given for investigation, then Community trials will have a time limit of 24 hours where the players can investigate, theorize, and find the culprit. Votes must be cast during the final 1 hour of the time limit, voting can be done beforehand if so desired. If there are no votes in a trial after it has reached the time limit, the trial will be deemed inconclusive and nothing will happen. If a majority vote for a culprit is reached, the named culprit will be executed. If there is a majority vote at any point in the trial to cancel the trial, it will also be deemed inconclusive (Aelori will accept the community's decision). If Aelori ever dies at any point, there will be no more official trials.
Machinegun Talk Battle System
This is a system available exclusively to the culprit of any murder. At any point before voting begins, the culprit may invoke Machinegun Talk Battle, which essentially admits that they are the culprit. If invoked, a special debate between the culprit and an elected detective out of the innocents will begin. The detective must then correctly deduce every element of the murder to prove the identity of the culprit. If the detective does this, the culprit will be executed. If the culprit succeeds in fooling the detective, the culprit will go free. A special set of Verbal Swords will be given to the culprit in this debate.
In the event of an accomplice murder, the accomplice may also invoke Machinegun Talk Battle in place of the culprit. However, if the accomplice fails, they will be executed along with the culprit. If the accomplice succeeds, both the culprit and accomplice will go free.
The Plot and Exceptions
Tertiary Fusion has specialized plot for each of the players. However, for those who are late, I have prepared a branching plot for all of you. Look forward to the new application page that will be coming up soon(tm).
