Spade cards form the next section of the tower. The stairway widens as it spirals toward the top. As it gets further up, it splits to form two spirals and eventually four at the widest part. It slowly shrinks until there is only a single stairway at the peak. Along with the split to four, the protection of the tower walls disappear to show the sky and pulsing hearts. The stairs burst free of their constraints and spiral into the sky, held back only by their connections to the other stairs. Black bars struggle to keep them from falling away into the night, with the weight of the other three stairs keeping any single spiral from flying loose. They spirals vary in distance from around ten meters apart to touching as the cross. The staircases wobble unsteadily and the railing has already broken away in segments. Clusters of clouds surround the tower and make it difficult to see when stairs spiral through them.
The gate hasn't closed just yet
At the top, you find an arched doorway with naught but the sky beyond. The pulsing hearts hover beyond, almost close enough to touch.
