A world of darkness, or as dark as the swirling mixtures of color get. Every so often, a lighter color shows in the sky along with a ray of light. They disappear the next moment as the shifting colors consume it again. The world looks to have been painted, with the washes of color in places and unfinished brown areas. A layer of water covers the ground, a thick reddish tint being the most prominent of the mix of colors. It makes movement somewhat more difficult as water slows your steps significantly. The air has a slight smell of iron to it, though perhaps it is just the paint. Small colorful sphere float about, giving off their bit of light.
You are on a small street with a few buildings to either side and one at the end. Most of them look to be unfinished and quite fragile. They have half painted front yards with broken plants and falling fences. The cobblestone street is barely visible through the water, especially with the area this dark. Beyond the buildings, you see nothing but the painted darkness. There is a unique beauty to the play of light and dark with the colors of the water.
The house at the end of the street seems to be more finished than the others. It has walls with white tints and almost seems to glow with its own light. It looks to be of a Victorian style with an airy feel to it, like a spot of calm within this darkness. The painted sea splashes up against the walls, but simply drips off without leaving a stain. There are windows with an opalescent sheen which makes it hard to look inside. The pointed roof is covered in light purple tiles which edge toward a warm pink. A balcony is on the roof of the first floor, with a sliding door leading into a disproportionately smaller second floor. A chimney is to the side, its bricks a chalky red in theme with the rest of the building.
