Execution Courtyard

[Daiwa Scarlet]

An elevated wooden execution platform sits in the center of the courtyard. Blood seeping into the grains and weeds around, all taking the reddish tinge of lost life. Shoddy wooden bleachers provide a stand for spectators, a wonder with how it is still standing despite the splintering support. Yet, the more important spectators get a view from further up, on a balcony above the platform. A throne sits on the balcony, made of red cushions with black iron twisted into hearts. A red canopy blocks out the sun, the emblem of the Queen prominent on the cloth. Piled to the side of the castle is a structure of hay that was seemingly built by a lazy pig. In a corner is a small door, built into the wall. Across the courtyard is the side gate, leading out of the castle. The portcullis acts as a weight to pull the drawbridge up.

The guests start to stir and are led inside the barracks. Two guards lay around at the entrance.

The side gate is up, with the bridge down.

Pushing aside the straw, you find a stable.

A small door near the corner, built into the wall.

Into the guard barracks.

*slowly gets the upper half of the body up and opens eyes slightly and then yawns covering the mouth with one hand while still sitting on the ground*
『*yaaaaaaaaaawn* Good morning Kashin-sama... I saw such a fun dream tonight... I fell down some wide hole and there were talking cats and rabbits and... Hmm..?』

*opens eyes fully and finally realizes where she is*

『Oh my... It wasn't a dream?』

slowly wakes up, rubbing his head as he stands

"It's just one thing after another in this place... But, after seeing what just happened, maybe there is a reason for me to be here..."

*slowly gets up completely and beats off the dust and dirt*
『Now then, this is quite an interesting situation we got ourselves in. A thief that attempted to steal Her Majesty's Crown escapes execution, Queen retreats to castle calling out a possibility of an accomplice, and then unknown amount of time passes with us being unconscious. Judging from the look of it, bridge of the side gate out of castle cannot be raised from outside castle. So either Thief or Accomplice must have remained in the castle. I wonder which it is~ Now then... What to do, what to do...』
*strolls off while lost in thought*

[Siren]

Siren wakes up quickly, immediately putting a hand to her head.

"Ugh my head... I can't tell if it hurts from whatever knocked me out or from having it bashed into during that fight."

She looks around to see the other unconscious victims.

"Even the guards are out cold... I wonder what that thief is up to..."

She rubs her head with a grimace
"Well not the first time I've been kidnapped"
