About: If one did not comprehend the reference of the title, then this is based off of the anime adaption of Kagerou Project, also known as "Mekaku-City Actors." Similar to the animated version, the story will circulate on Kuroha's attempts to kill the Mekakushi-dan, Blindfold Gang, in order to be constantly reborn. This season will lean towards a killed or be killed theme. Simply put, if one does not take the precautions to survive from any abnormal disasters or does not kill Kuroha in a time limit, then that player and others will continuously die in a never-ending nightmare. Although the game, itself, is not infinite or in a loop, the story will set it as so if all fail, then the game will end
Rules: There are only three possible winning conditions; one is to surpass the floors and defeat the final boss through direct confrontation, two is to have all characters still be alive by the end of the day (instead of days, time will be posted as hours), and the final one will be kept hidden as it may influence the trial outcome. All cases that have not been declared as committed by the heat-haze will be turned into a trial; in context, the heat-haze will refer to the Mastermind's attempts at murder and it will be rather obvious that it was not committed by a human being
Character Requirements: All joining are free to pick out a sprite along with their character's name, but some characters will be prohibited to avoid clashing with the storyline (will be listed in sign-ups), and after stating an SHSL, players will send messages to the mastermind through Skype, regarding one of the characters from a picture of those of the Mekakushi-dan that shall be displayed in the sign-ups section. One may choose anyone portrayed in the imagery for any reason, but depending on the chosen actor, then one's ability will be set. Most, if not all, actors in the picture will hold an eye power, which can be considered a minor. More details of these abilities will only be given to their respective owners, and multiple players are free to pick the same actor. When specifying as to what actor they wish to take the role of, applicants must be sure as to describe the outlook for the ease of the mastermind
Setting: Since there is no city or building specified throughout the whole anime, the "setting" will simply be called Mekaku City in general. The area of movement is limited to only the town area, which will consist of sub-areas that hold importance to the plot, and the map will be an attempt of not being overly complicated or connecting
Summary: In accordance to the series, the children awaken on August 15th and for as long as they could remember, it had always been August 15th although they couldn't recall why or how. As they gather in the park (will be included in the map) on that blurry summer's day, they are suddenly "killed" by the heat-haze, seeing a visage of a girl with red eyes and black hair in their very last moments, causing the date to rewind once more. Now, reawakening to a new day, a simple message has been engraved in their minds: "No, I don't want to say goodbye... I want to be with everyone... one more time... one more time!" With this, the members attempt to avoid repeating the past in attempt to be freed from the ever-lasting cycle
Special Considerations: There is the survival portion, which will be similar to the "curse" system of Binary Distortion, but it does not necessarily "kill" players. In addition, would be that I am co-masterminding with another Tier One, Nova, who has already given consent to help. I believe we already mentioned it in Skype, but feel free if you need to confirm with the other party. We will discuss any matters regarding "who to respond to" in the rules section
Times: Preferably, we would like to host this in the summer, not only because it would be simpler for us, but it matches with the setting of the actual anime. It can even be a filler season if that is the only way possible to fit it in. Based on my schedule, I will be able to host from 5AM to 9PM in PST (8AM to 12PM in EST). I still have to confirm with Nova on his available time set, though.
