Hello everyone, This is EclipseZwolf with an announcement as to an issue that arose just the other day involving Season Emerald Enlightenment. Allow me to perform a basic explanation of events.
Near the end of the hosting session one of the regular players performed a movement action and left a room. Upon leaving the room, the room thread was deleted and the security logs recorded this regular player as the one who deleted it. I acted as an administrator right away and took action to prevent any malicious activity and spoke with the supposed culprit.
Afterwards, I decided to look into the possibility of an issue on proboards side of the problem. I submitted a support request with them about the issue. The admins confirmed that the account that was recorded to have deleted the thread is and should have been completely Unable to delete that thread.
Base Member privileges include the ability to delete posts and threads of your own creation, however a regular member cannot delete anything besides these. This incident has proven that under the right circumstances (which I don't understand and proboards admins have no idea about either) a regular player can accidentally delete a thread.
Proboards has said they do not expect this issue to arise again due to the extreme randomness of the situation, but its more likely we may experience it as it might have to do with how we handle movement posts and the like. They will look into it if it happens again as they would try to analyze a pattern, but for now we are Patient Zero.
Everyone who makes content on this site, masterminds and the like, should make sure to back up anything you put on the threads on your own files locally or on the cloud elsewhere. It has a low probability of occurring, but it still could so for your own works safety please backup!
The player in question is hereby removed of all suspicion and may act as normal. I apologize to you and everyone else here for the trouble in this incident.
